"I waited three hours at the property without the lockbox code before someone came to check me in. Once in the room, the cleaning had not been done. Even after the cleaning was completed, a strong mold smell persisted. When I complained to the management company facetiously named Wonderful Italy, they refused to offer any solutions, leaving me with no choice but to stay for the two nights I booked or lose the money they had already charged me. All my clothes still smell like mold two days later....

"The apartment was nice and quite central. During my 2 day stay, I did not get the second set of beddings, as requested before arrival. There was also a power cut around 6am but emergency contact was only available from 10am, when i was due to check out. The instructions provided to reset this were not clear."

"So the pluses are a central location and a clean apartment. On the down side you have to pay €40 for someone to meet you with a key if you get in late (even if due to a delayed flight). The communication on this isn’t on the Hotels.com website. The place smells of used fat and stale ciggarette smoke and it’s tiny and tricky to get suitcases through narrow corridors. It’s also in party central and the noise outside went on until around 4am which the windows and shutters offer scant protection...

"It's a one-star hotel and this review must be read in light of that; but it was clean, safe, and for me, needing to go to the university for a conference, it was a wonderfully close location (circa 200 metres to the university and to the famous Mole Antonelliana tower). In a heat wave the lack of A/C might be an issue but I made the combination of ceiling fan and window work for me just fine. (With young children you might be concerned about the windows, mind: you are on the 4th floor). There was a shared bathroom but no-one else appeared to use it and the hotel was priced accordingly. Fantastic value for money. Recommended"

The spa was amazing for a moment to wind down and relax, and drinks by the pool were lovely.
