Only downside was the restaurant’s bizarre ‘policy’ (apparently the chef’s decision) of trying to charge £3.50 for substituting couscous with mashed potato. According to the receptionist the following day, this has now been stopped, but unfortunately too late to avoid a sour taste at the time of the meal. "We weren't advised there was a pool, so we didn't get to use it. Staff were all lovely, especially receptionist who booked us in. But the second lift being out of order meant we had to wait for the lift when checking out. There was a chair in our room [118] that needed joints gluing and could have collapsed, and somewhere in the bathroom is leaking damp, resulting in a few harmless fruit flies and damagedbath panel and skirting. "

"Pretty hotel. We had a wonderful stay in room 121. The suite had a beautiful 4 poster and the bathroom a huge roll top bath. We visited the spa and had an excellent breakfast. Lovely stay. Will return. "

"Not bad hotel .room showing bit of sge as bit of black mould in grout on bathroom . Had good which was good apart from hair in pizza .but as compensation gave us a couple pf free drinks .all staff were lovely"
