"Great location near Monteverde—close to hiking and nature, yet peaceful and private. One morning we even spotted green parrots from the back of the home, which was a lovely surprise. The property is new and well-maintained, with a smart layout that worked well for our family. We appreciated the 1.5 bathrooms and access to a washer and dryer, which made our stay more convenient. "Very nice hotel, beautifully decorated, beds and pillows very comfortable. We only stayed one night but it was a pleasure. Staff was very professional and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Appreciated that you ordered off a menu and not just a buffet. But. They also had buffet items out like cereal, fruit and bread. Overall wonderful experience."

"Gorgeous property with a few walking trails and complimentary access to the nature reserve where we spotted monkeys and toucans!! Room was clean and they provided a bottle of complimentary champagne for our anniversary. On site restaurant was delicious. We especially loved roasting s’mores at night. Incredible stay can’t wait to return"

"I had no issues during my stay. Check-in was simple, and I was provided with a map and lots of helpful tips. The room was pleasant, with a fantastic view through the expansive windows. There was no aircon in my room, which I feared would be a problem, but I didn’t get hot at all. A ceiling fan would still be a useful addition though. The wind outside could be slightly noisy at times, but that would probably apply to lots of hotels in the area. The ladies serving breakfast in the morning didn’t necessarily speak perfect English, but then it’s a Spanish speaking country. They spoke enough to get by, plus they were still extremely friendly and I enjoyed practicing my dreadful Spanish skills with them. It is a little bit of an uphill walk back up to the hotel from the town, but I was fine with it despite not being at my fittest right now. There are always taxis around if needed too."

"Our family absolutely loved Koora Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely cared for by the staff (especially Jason who has already reached out to me in advance to understand our arrival time) and fell in love with the setting, which is nestled beautifully into the mountain forest. The service was impeccable, and the view overlooking the Monteverde cloud forest from the restaurant was truly epic. The food was so fantastic that we ended up eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner there just to sample as much of the menu as possible—the fresh tropical fruit juices and local cuisine were highlights! Our Forest Room was incredibly cozy, and the overall design of the hotel is beautiful. We also loved how perfectly positioned the hotel is. It’s a stone’s throw from the amazing San Lucas Treetop Dining experience and literally ten steps away from Natuwa Reserve, where we took a lovely tour and saw sloths up close. I can’t say enough good things about this fantastic hotel. Highly recommended!"
