Great hotel in central Mantova
Right on the nicest piazza in Mantova, you couldn’t be more central. My room was clean and comfortable, with a huge bed, and the en-suite was well equipped and spotless. Breakfast was everything you would want, and the staff were efficient and friendly. There was an enormous choice of restaurants/cafes nearby and I would certainly stay here again.

Great location
We had a great stay, the location is wonderful. We had a room overlooking the Piazza but it also came with the obvious noise, the cleaners start work in the Piazza starts at 5am :-) The Hotel does have charm and the staff were helpful in choosing a great restaurant. Breakfast was restricted because of the current conditions but good all the same.

great location, no wifi
great location-- pleasant enough hotel-- but the wifi NEVER worked the whole time we were there, even though it was promised as part of the package; this was pretty inconvenient while traveling

Check-in was quick and easy. We parked a long walk from the hotel due to the concert in the square. However, it was the prefect location closest to the concert. Our window overlooked the back of the stage. We were able to see the band and crowd coming and going. Even without the concert, the location is ideal. The room and bathroom is smaller but very clean and modern. There is a small fridge, which we needed. Breakfast was great with many hot and cold options. Attentive staff. Will stay again.

The hotel has a perfect location and lives on this fact only. However the service level and athmospere needs improvement, with the exception of the breakfast staff member, who was very service minded.

Charming and convenient to historic city center.
Very pleasant hotel in the heart of Mantova. Good size room, pretty windows overlooking the piazza. Bed not so comfortable, mattress too hard. Great breakfast with lots to choose from.

Hotel dei Gonzaga
This was our 2nd time staying here within the last 3 years. Family run hotel good service and a great breakfast with a lot to choose from. Most staff spoke English. Plus the hotel is located a comfortable walking distance from central city. Mantova is a beautiful city easy to get around nice stores and restaurants. Every Thurs major open market from piazza behind hotel to a few streets lot to see and purchase. Elton John was performing in piazza by hotel a couple days after we left. We would have had nice view from our hotel room window.

Central location
We wanted a hotel with a central location and this was excellent. The room was sparsly furnished and bathroom was small. The hotel could be a bit noisy, but for one night in the city centre it was ideal.

Excellent hotel
Great staff, very polite, location is second to none. Breakfast was good, and they gave me a torta as a gift when I checked out--completely unexpected!

Great Location
Good basic hotel in a great central location serving a good breakfast. You can also get a good evening meal in the restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room on the attic 4th floor was basic but clean. We couldn't get the air conditioning to work, which would be a real problem in the hot summer months, but we had a great view of the Cathedral, Palazzo Ducale and the main square. We could walk to most sights and we had dozens of restaurants and shops on our doorstep and it was relatively motor free which made walking around safe and pleasant.

The direction of the hotel was very kind and helpful. The location couldn't be better. This is a run-down facility, but it is kept clean. Some of the rooms face the main square of the town, which is brightly lit at night and crowded with people and activity.

Exceptional Location at Affordable Rates
The superb location and affordability are the most noteworthy things about this hotel. The staff was nice and the price is certainly right but the room had not been thoroughly cleaned prior to my check-in. Guestrooms receive maid service/cleaning every other day and the hallways are dark. Overall, not terrible...but not great either.

outstanding location - very sparse rooms
This hotel is as central as one can be in Mantova - this is absolutely the hotel's best quality. Everyone was quite friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was better than average for Italian hotels. The room was surprisingly spare for the price, though it was quite clean and it was fine since I was staying just for one night and was really exploring the city.

Great location
Very good. Reception sold us a permit for parking our car nearby. This was also a permit for having the car in the ZTL. I had booked the garage but did not use it after I tried to park there. It was very difficult to enter and exit the garage which was also being used to renovate furniture. It was also expensive. There are many on street parking spots nearby and at only 2.65 Euro for the 24 hour permit this is a much better option.

TINY TWINS FOR ADULTS
We paid for the experience of being directly on the piazza, which was wonderful. The receptionist was very competent, except that we had to be out of our room 10am on the dot, our luggage kept at the front desk despite the fact that no one needed the room. The twin beds were they type used for bunk beds and undersize for adults. The room was very small, but the AC worked well, the blackout shutters were great and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast included was excellent, except for the loud music. However, the restaurant run privately for lunch and dinner was horrendously overpriced. The other options on the piazza were far superior and less than half the price.

While not easy to drive to, because it is on the edge of old town, it is a great location. On market day, Thursday the front door is in the middle of the huge market. On other less crowded days you are only steps away from the best of Mantova

La posizione centrale è certamente un punto di forza. L'aria condizionata è molto rumorosa. Ho chiesto di lasciare uno zaino di piccole dimensioni fino alle ore 16 e mi hanno chiesto €5 per il deposito in una stanza "chiusa a chiave" che in realtà non lo era affatto visto che siamo entrate per riprendere lo zaino senza usare la chiave. Bagno comune al piano seminterrato in pessime condizioni.

Posto centralissimo, la nostra camera affacciava sul palazzo Ducale, è in zona ZTL ma pagando solo 5 euro si ha diritto ad entrare in zona e parcheggiare per 24 ore su tutte le strisce blu.

コンサート会場がホテルの目の前ということで予約。フロントスタッフがすごく良くて、お部屋も広かったので、ゆっくり寛げました。 冷蔵庫に入っていたお水はフリーだったので、お知らせしら方が良かったかなと思いました。
