"Excellent Value. Excellent view of lake Michigan. Restaurant is much better than many much more expensive supper clubs we have been to. They even include a Free breakfast in the restaurant. Clean rooms, Friendly Staff & fantastic Indoor Pool & Hot Tub."
"This hotel has people living in it. Pot stench filled the air walking to my room. Old and run down. The parking lot is filled with homeless people. Overall…go somewhere else!"
Harbor Town, BW Signature Collection by Best Western
6/10 Okay
"Don’t let their online photos fool you. That super cute place doesn’t exist. Not by the water. Cooked to order breakfast. Premade warmed (slightly) omelet. Grey orange juice. Staff seemed to be high and smoking marijuana just outside the door. Good bones but not well run."
"We arrived at Best Western Chilton and checked in quickly — only a 5-minute wait behind another group. The front desk clerk was kind and went above and beyond: she got me a bandage for a hand injury I sustained unloading luggage and came after hours to turn on the water machine so we could fill our bottles.
After settling the kids in, I soaked in the hot tub which was not hot, but it was still warm and relaxing. The shower was clean and functional, if a bit dorm-like with the fully tiled bathroom. Falling asleep was another story. Despite a white noise machine and earplugs, bass from music at the bar next door kept me up for hours until it finally stopped in the early morning. I wish I'd known to request a room on the other side of the building but it was too late by the time I noticed the music.
Breakfast the next morning was enjoyable — the kids and I loved the pancakes and sausages — though watching the clerk pour scrambled eggs from a plastic bag into the buffet dish wasn't the most appetizing sight. Checkout was smooth and easy.
Would stay again — just in a room on the other side of the building."
"The staff--especially the young ones--were extremely helpful! It was a nice, quiet stay.
The one thing, the cleaning people didn't give fresh bedding and did not make the beds when they came by (3-night stay). Maybe that's the Inn's policy and I missed that; at any rate, it's not a deal-breaker. Nor did we get fresh towels--only upon request, at least after the first night. Maybe this was a communication issue with the cleaning people: passing her in the hall, her English wasn't great, and she might have misunderstood me.
Anyways, I would definitely stay there again. I would give them between a 7.5 - 7.9 rating out of 10."
"Front desk work was super friendly and helped us with every issue that we had. Someone was always available to assist, very thorough with where everything was and the amenities. Lake front view, clean hotel. Will definitly book again."
