Hi, Lee - Thank you for taking the time to post a review and for your kind comments about the architecture of our house. We are very sorry you didn't feel safe because there are no keys for the guest room door locks. Although this has not presented any problems, it's entirely possible that other guests felt as you did. Based on your comments, we ordered period-correct interior safety locks for all of the guest rooms; and they will be installed shortly. By the same token, we have ordered safes for all of the guest rooms and will be placing them soon. Guests will still not be able to lock their rooms when going out for the day or evening but they will be able to safe their doors from the inside and they will be able to store valuable items such as laptops in their safes. We hope you will give us another chance in the not-too-distant future. We love being innkeepers and our greatest satisfaction comes from pleasing our guests!

I know you're getting ready to move south but I hope you'll be back in Michigan at some point and will visit us again. As for televisions in the rooms, although we have considered installing them, we have decided not to in order to preserve the Victorian atmosphere of the manor. I really appreciate your feedback on this point - Perhaps, we'll rethink this in the future.
