Basically a motel with a nice location. The room was very basic with very few amenities and a smell of cleaning fluid.

Was disappointed that the restaurant was closed. Wish they had let people know ahead of time. The self Checkin was ok. But kinda creepy at the same time. Room and beds were nice enough though.

Very quaint little property. Enjoyed our stay. Nice fire pit. I would stay again. Can’t wait till the bar is open. Very clean and nice view of the mountain and right down the road from Manchester Center.

It was very pleasant, nice owners. Still renovating, but comfy. There might have been a slight plumbing issue, the plumbing seemed to be a little overwhelmed by volume of water after showers.

Room is clean and comfortable. Nice view. However, it appears that front desk barely exists and the room to eat breakfast is under construction. Also, no ice machine. All of this should have been posted and visible on Travelocity to better align custsomer expectations.

Most wonderful towels we have ever used. Big and fluffy! The walk-in shower was also wonderful. The room and property were very clean. The tv was quite large. We wished the beds were more comfortable. :/ Inn keeper was efficient and pleasant. Looks like there's some renovations underway. The setting was idyllic.

Great place to stay especially if you are on budget. Definitely not overpriced and very clean and updated rooms. Dave the yard keeper is great. Personable guy who welcomes you like family.

The setting was excellent with views of mountains. The motel is ideal for younger couples and families, but not as good for older folks. The steps are too high and railings and handholds are needed.

The overall impression was one of cleanliness. The shower was beautifully spacious. The decor was rustic and welcoming, and windows could be opened to let in fresh air.

My daughter and I stayed here for the Vermont Summer Festival Horse show. It was very convenient and close to the show grounds as well as Manchester's restaurants and shopping. The property was undergoing renovations when we stayed, so understandably things were a bit out of sorts. I would definitely stay there again. It was just fine for us, and the renovations will only make it better. Very cute property!

The room was clean and the bathroom was newly renovated. The bed was very comfortable. The owners were very nice and even got medicine for me when I got sick. The name of the hotel is Stamford Inn and restaurant, but no restaurant. I think it is under renovation.

The owner, Karen is a nasty, hatefully, unhappy person with terrible customer service skills. Our room was filthy. The shower was discussing. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Thanks for your kind words. It should be noted that this couple booked two rooms. Attempted to cancel one of the rooms completely four days before arrival. We have a 14 day prior to arrival cancellation period. I assisted the couple in renting one of the rooms for one of the nights and they were thrilled with me. Since the daughter was staying in the room Friday night I changed out the sheets so the couple could stay in the room Saturday. They were thrilled that I was able to accommodate this request. The trouble started when the chambermaid went into the room on Sunday and she reported that their were sparkles all over the room. Initially I thought how bad could it be. Than she came and told me that she tried to vacuum it up after a half hour. I still thought how bad could it be. At this point we went and got the second vacuum. After an hour I was pissed after 2 hours and the mess wasn't gone I was angry. If it had been a wooden floor it would have been a quick clean up or if it had happened it different room with a different carpet pile I believe it would have been quicker to clean up. Unfortunately the pile in the room made it very very difficult and the sparkles were getting caught in the weave of the carpet. I did a google search and tried everything from gloves, to a hairdryer, etc.. with no success. I called my carpet guy to have him clean the carpets the next day. Unfortunately that didn't help the issue much since I had a customer coming in for the room that night. Since it was Sunday the carpet cleaner wouldn't come until Monday at $80 to attempt to suck up the sparkles. The majority are finally gone but they are still in the room. We charged the guest an additional $80 to cover the cost of the carpet cleaner. I paid out of pocket the additional fee to have my chambermaid vacuum for an additional 2 hours with me. What guest wants to walk into a room with sparkles all over it. Her comment to me was "it was a little girls dress" I can't even imagine what her car looks like and what the people thought at the wedding reception who had to clean the place up. When she called to ask about the additional charge and she said "it was a little girls dress you b - - - - - " We appreciate the kind words and remember that we all need to take responsibility for our own actions.

The restaurant is re-opening Memorial Day Weekend. Limited hours - primarily Thursday - Sunday.

Lovely stay! Due to covid there was no housekeeping, but was a bit shocked there was no hand soap, body soap, or utensils. Other than that, the amenities were great.

Love this motel. Beautiful grounds. Clean spacious rooms. Owners Karen and Adam are wonderful. So nice sitting at the fire pit on a crisp fall night. Even during these crazy times we felt confident staying there. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back.

This is just a roadside dated motel. No cafe or restaurant open during Labor Day weekend. Not the cleanest. They will charge you earlier with the excuse of contactless checkin, which by the way, is nothing more than arriving at your unlocked room with the door keys hanging on the outside. I made the reservation through Expedia and wished to use a different CC when checking in but the extremely rude person who contacted me, Karen (ironic!!), demanded my CC # over the phone, which she was writing down on a piece of paper when talking to me over the phone, while away from the property (her own words). She would then run it at a later time when back to the property. She also did not see what the problem was with this scenario. Very rude, unpleasant, and unprofessional, as a got a personal text message at 9:43pm on my first night questioning me about my review on Expedia. To sum up, find a better place to stay.

Any educated person that travels is well aware that when you make a reservation you must provide a valid credit card. We traditionally have a two week prior to arrival cancellation because we are a small motel. Thus when a reservation is booked the consumer is traditionally charged in full. Due to COVID19 I waited until the day of to charge the credit card. I attempted three times to process the credit card and it declined every single time. Thus I reached out to her and told her I need a valid credit card to process the transaction. I explained our COVID 19 process. In order to keep the customer safe and our staff. She was quite rude on the phone at this point and told me that the credit card was valid. I explained to her that if the credit card was valid the transaction would have taken place and thus I wouldn’t have had to make the phone call. She finally gave me a second credit card. After we hung up the phone I attempted to process the transaction and once again the credit card was declined. I immediately called her again at which point she wouldn’t pick up the phone. I sent an email letting her know that the reservation would be cancelled if I didn’t hear from her by noon. After being in the business for 20 years and having dealt with numerous consumers over the year you can read people. At this point I knew we didn't want her staying here. Thus, I contacted Expedia immediately explained to them the issues and that I needed to cancel the reservation since she had provided two credit cards which had declined. Expedia said that they would give her until noon. I called Expedia back at noon to cancel the reservation. At which point she was trying to call me at 12:15pm to give me a third credit card. I asked Expedia to cancel the reservation because I knew that it was all going to go downhill. She was rude with me once again on the phone and reluctantly gave me a credit card number for the third time. Once again I tried to explain to her that when you make a hotel reservation you need to provide a valid credit card. One that a motel owner can process. We are presently operating as a contactless motel. Which means you will go directly to your room. You will find the key in the door handle, receipt in your room and compliance form which you need to fill out. I told her our process due to COVID 19. She is literally the first person that has had an attitude. Contactless means you do not have contact with anyone for check-in or check-out. Traditionally the restaurant would have been open and traditionally it would have been open 6 nights a week during the summer and fall months. However, due to COVID 19 and the size of our restaurant the restaurant is closed. Based on the Governor's order at this point we could literally seat 9 people in the restaurant. It just isn’t feasible to run. I am not sure why she is having such a hard time with this. I am sure that she wouldn’t have eaten in the restaurant anyways s
