The room that I originally booked (two bedroom with kitchen included) was not given to us. we had a lofted room with a king and full size bed that was not nearly as big as we were expecting. I was told that this happens very frequently with Expedia and it was a huge detriment to our trip. I'd very much like to get my money back for the first two nights of that room because it is not what I paid for.

This is the place to be if you want ski in ski out facility. While the inn is old, it has a good friendly vibe. People bring their dogs. The lobby is inviting and smells like Christmas lodge. Staff is fabulous. Ski valet is wonderful.

I really like that we can stay in a unit with a kitchen. Don't like dogs on the property. observed a room guest feeding a wild coyote thru the window of their room - front desk needs to post - NO coyote feeding (wildlife and bear signs are not working).

Location is great, able to walk to chairlifts and gondola. I liked that they would check your skis in for you at the entrance of the inn so we didn't have to carry them from our room. Condo was spacious, functional and comfortable however it definitely needs updating. Ugly and dated decor, painting chipped on doors, old building, cheap furniture (although bed was very comfortable) and carpet was worn. The efficiency kitchen was good for us and everything worked.

The location of the Mammoth Mountain Inn can't be beat. We had a view of the lifts and the main lodge. In the morning you can just walk right out to the lifts. The staff are terrific and always helpful and knowledgeable. The lobby areas are old school mountain lodge and really comfortable and welcoming. The only drawback to the property is that the rooms are vastly out of date. The bathroom is like a closet and the heating system is an old fashioned wall heater that was difficult to adjust.

For the most part its an average hotel. It's a little rough around the edges and the first floor rooms can hear people walking around on the floor above. But its clean. The spas weren't that hot. But because its easy walking distance to the resort and lifts its a desirable place to stay. Means you can park at the hotel and not worry about the hassle of finding parking and walking a mile to the resort. That's a huge plus.
