8.2/10 Very good! (7,056 reviews)
I really wanted to like the Westgate, but this hotel is long overdue for a major renovation. The rooms and bathrooms look like they haven't been touched since the 1980s. Dated fixtures, tired furniture, and an overall worn feel make it hard to justify what they're charging.
The shower was the worst part. The shower head is set at a height that works if you're about 5'8" or shorter. Anyone taller has to squat down just to rinse off, which gets old fast after a long day.
On top of that, they nickel and dime you for everything. They even charge you for water, which is unreal for a hotel at this price point. Between the fees and the condition of the rooms, it doesn't feel like guests are a priority.
If you're considering staying here, know what you're walking into. Until ownership invests in a real update to the rooms, bathrooms, and their fee structure, I'd look elsewhere.

"The deck view was wonderful, bed comfortable, an all around pretty place. We struggled with lack of lighting (none in living room!) burned out and missing bulbs. When they do so much right this seems strange. Bike trails in area are fabulous"

"I had been under the impression that we would have a private bathroom as well as our bedroom, and that our bedroom would have been larger. But our room was just big enough for a double sized bed and a nightstand, and the two bathrooms are shared with the rest of the cabin tenants. It was however ..."
