"We stayed for two nights and liked the fact that towels, bedding and housekeeping were changed and cleaned on a request basis only.
Also, the restaurant next door had great drinks."
"This older property is still attractive, although slightly run down. The rooms have character with high ceilings and traditional wood furniture. We were comfortable. The shower was great with good water pressure and very hot water. The pool was very pretty, but looked too murky for swimming. (We later drove up the road to enjoy a nice restaurant with a swimming pool.) Coffee and pastries were provided. The location is excellent. It was reasonably priced. We would not hesitate to stay here again."

"Solid 5-star property in every way. Hotel and grounds are stunning. Spa is the best I have ever seen. Rooms are huge with sleeping area, living area with sofa and large outdoor veranda. This property grounds are manicured to perfection with a stunning variety of local plants. The restaurant is truly gourmet with both indoor and outdoor seating. With 70 years of history, this property is wonderful! Perhaps on of the best in Mexico. "
"Casa Colonial is a beautiful, restful, secure place with many charming features owing to its antiquity. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful; the room was spotless and well-appointed; the al fresco dining was delicious; the spa services were first-class; the Centro location was ideal ... and overall it was a great value. I highly recommend Casa Colonial - muchas gracias!"
"The hotel is a pretty hacienda with nice big rooms and comfty bed. The free breakfast was a basic continental one but we ended up paying for the buffet they have on Tuesdays at 2x1. We spent just 1 night and wish we could have stayed longer for truly enjoyung the place."
