The outside museum area hosts plenty of events during the summer months, such as the folk music festival Sepän Soitto. Originally built as a private residence, Hirvihaara Manor now offers delicious food in its restaurant, refreshing swim sessions and spa treatments, while Hirvihaaran Golf is only about three miles from here.
In addition to Hirvihaara, Mäntsälä includes numerous other manors which you can explore alone or with the help of a guide. Alikartano, formerly called Frugård, is considered a nationally important cultural spot, and Sälinkää Manor includes a restaurant with lakeside views.
