I liked everything. I do have a few suggestions though. Definitely need a grab bar in the shower and a few hooks in the bathroom from for robes and toiletry bags.

The hotel is lovely. The rooms are very large with high ceilings. Beds are just ok for me but I do have back problems. Feather pillows offer no neck support. Very nice lobby area with fireplace and bar area and the breakfast area is very nice and comfortable. Food is good for continental breakfast. Convenient location overlooking river.

Thoughtful and helpful staff, excellent hotel!
My 82-year-old aunt stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. When she checked in, she received an upgrade. The room was huge, with 16-foot ceilings. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were extra-helpful when she didn't feel well, and even left a bouquet of flowers and a get-well card at her door.

This unique and beautifully transformed hotel is perfectly situated with a glorious view of, and stroll along, the Ohio River--but is also within easy walking distance of historic Madison, Indiana's well-preserved architecture, tours, restaurants and shops. I loved visiting Madison and I absolutely would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat, given all of the above and the fact that my room was clean, comfortable and (very!) spacious.

We arrived at 3pm but couldn’t check in until after 4pm, so we had to wait in the lobby. The eggs at breakfast were tasteless and cold. Regardless we will likely stay again in the spring. The renovation was well done and it was very clean.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are so big and quiet. The breakfast in the morning is nice. The view of the river is amazing! The walking path by the river is so convenient to take in views of the river. The only negative thing was that you had to ask for house keeping each day and that was just to get clean towels. I would recommend this as a wonderful place to stay. We would definitely stay there again.
