The room was clean, well appointed and very quiet. We were across from the elevator bank and didn’t hear them at all. The location is very good and so was the breakfast. I don’t think I’ve ever had better water pressure in the shower. Our only problem was our room seemed to be in a wifi dead zone. We had good service in the middle of the room but not at either end, including the balcony. The staff did try to rectify it but not much improvement. Would definitely stay again.

Overall great stay, excellent breakfast. Centrally located. The only issue is it doesn’t have its own parking space so we will have to park in different places based on hours of in and out.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and spacious. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast and dinner. Roof top bar with 360°view of Funchal. Would definitely recommend it!

Second time at this hotel, nice to receive a bottle if wine. Good breakfast which varied every day. Rooftop bar prices were good 4 euros for a large glass of wine. Pleasant staff, will stay here again on our next visit to Madeira.

Modern interior design from lobby to room to rooftop bar/restaurant. Short walk to the old town area. Lots of choices for restaurants and supermarket and shopping. When I have to leave at 6am for airport, they even packed me breakfast. Highly recommend if this hotel on a tree lined street.

The hotel is in a great location. Very clean and friendly, easy stay. I would definitely skip the restaurant for some ither local options, but it was a perfectly comfortable and clean accommodation.

Good hotel, much to like including cleanliness, bed comfort, breakfast choices and pleasant staff. Sadly our 4th floor room and balcony was overlooking a very busy road and, with the window open we could smell the traffic fumes. This marred what was a very enjoyable stay. I appreciate that this is not within the control of the hotel. The island might benefit from a review and remediation of its polluting vehicles.

We transferred to this hotel as our original hotel was overbooked. The hotel was vey good but, as a business/city break hotel, was not suitable for our holiday. The staff were very understanding and helpful in us selecting and moving to more suitable accommodation. We would definitely recommend the Turim Santa Maria for a city break/business stay

The rooftop bar is a real plus giving great views and service. The hotel is on a leafy, quiet street but within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and harbour. A variety of food is offered at breakfast and the service here and throughout the hotel was excellent. Rooms are comfortable and cool. The choice of this hotel really helped us have an enjoyable break.

City stay in Madeira with friend
My friend and I each had a room at the Turim Santa Maria Hotel. Even though there were some issues with paying for our room (eventually resolved), the staff were friendly and profession. The room well appointed with modern decor, the bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. The complimentary buffet breakfast was good. It was unseasonably warm in Funchal when we were there so we were able to use the rooftop pool. Good location as we were able to walk to most places.

Clean modern hotel within walking distance of major shopping, dining, and tourist attractions. Luis in reception was warm and welcoming. The whole staff was ready to help in every way. The rooftop bar had a full array of drinks and snacks and the view is fantastic!

Lovely balcony with views of the water and Funchal. Breakfast was Ok. Service was good. Room was large but could have used drawers for unpacking if you are staying several nights. Grear location. Nice rooftop bar.

The hotel is in a excellent location. Only a few blocks from the marina to enjoy boat trip tours.many awesome restaurants, clothing, and local shopping right at hand in the community. I definitely would stay at the hotel ahain on another visit to Maderia. The staff, hotel cleanliness, modern up-to-date room and hotel equipment is a must to stay at for a all around experience on your stay in Maderia.

Nice Hotel
Well located hotel a short walk away from the cable car, public transport, eating places and the waterfront. Hotel and the rooms are all new and modern. My room was big, bright and clean and had a balcony. Breakfast spread was ok. Staff were always helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

I've stayed at a Turim group hotel in Lisbon and that experience was so overwhelmingly positive that I had no hesitation making a booking at one of their other hotels. Every aspect of our stay was not just satisfactory but outstandingly good: the friendly and knowledgeable staff who were always willing to provide information and advice (especially about local restaurants); the panoramic vistas from the rooftop; the delicious breakfasts; the immaculately clean rooms with very comfortable beds which gave you the feeling that nobody has stayed in them before. Not least, the location could not be better, in an area that is not dominated by hotel after hotel after hotel. Turim Santa Maria is just minutes away from the old town (Zona Velha), the farmers' market (Mercado dos Lavradores), and also one of the best places to swim in the sea in Funchal.

Hotel is walking distance to city center. Good size room and clean. Hallways a bit dated, the rest nicely done. Parking is behind the hotel and not covered and took 2 rounds around the block to find it. Mattresses were very hard but everything else in the room was great. The breakfast was included and plentiful and delicious with lots of fresh fruit. The rooftop pool opens only at 10 AM which we found is a bit late. The staff was friendly and helpful.
