Great place for the price! The location was amazing, and the breakfast buffet was so good! Our room had a slight musty odor to it, but really nothing too bad and might have just been because of the proximity to the ocean. Would recommend overall!

Nice location on waterfront and near the airport. Great breakfast! My room smelled like dirty feet when I arrived but that was easily fixed by opening the door to the ocean. Loved hearing the waves crash outside.

The staff are very nice and welcoming, unfortunately I found lots hair in the bathroom which I believe it shouldn’t happen. Also the hotel is a bit outdated, but the location is very good.

Fantastic breakfast buffet, glorious views from the Junior Suite. Ventilation in the room was poor though - the Aircon was a little underpowered. The beds were huge, but provide little back support. Wonderful location, perfect for both relaxing holidays and hiking holidays. I will return one day.

Large clean room, short on electrical outlets but given an extension cord with multiple outlets at front desk which served the purpose. Comfortable beds. View of mountain towards airport and ocean, could hear the planes take off but didn’t impact our sleep much. Great daily room cleaning with friendly staff. Nice large breakfast buffet with basic selections which should cover varying food preferences. Good location, beach, water sports, restaurants and bars, bus stop close by, trails, etc.. overall an older property but very well maintained. I’d definitely stay there again.

Great hotel

We had a lovely stay at Dom Pedro Madeira. The room was very nice and clean. Staff was very helpful and made our stay even better. Breakfast buffet was excellent too. The hotel is close to the airport which is a bonus.

Nice view from the room even without balcony. Pleasant reception. Rooms near stairwells are exposed to noise and music from entertainment. No porridge at breakfast. Excellent location at the end of the beach. Pool was not clean probably because low attendance? Convenient to airport.

The hotel was nice. Great breakfast and nice pool area. U fortunately room hot as too big for air conditioner to work and our oatio o ean virw wzs obstructed by a big tent for a party outside our room that pkayed very loud music till midnight.

Great hotel in Machico! We booked a few nights here to get away from Funchal but still be close to hiking and the airport. This hotel was perfect! A short walk to a small beach and a the few restaurants nearby were great! The breakfast was also good, highly recommend!
