"We chose the hotel for it's convenient location in the city of Orotina , where we were visiting relatives .
The staff was good , perhaps a little inattentive on check out. The reception office was closed and I had to look around for someone to return my key.
Be advice there's is a very noisy soccer academy right next door . We were alocated on room 11 , close to the academy . It can be an issue if you are trying to rest early evening ."
"Beautiful and intimate, Vida Mountain is a sanctuary tucked away from the noise of the nearest city. The food is spectacular and provide a wide variety of options for anyone. Bernice is a fabulous person and she runs this resort with great care and attention, while also respecting people’s quiet and solitude. Perfect for couples and those seeking a high end experience at a very respectable price. Spa, wellness center and hiking trails all onsite. "

The open air restaurant with its observation deck is a great place for birdwatching since there are feeders at the edge of the deck and the staff puts out fruit and seeds early when the birds are active. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly! And the location is very near the river tours and Carara National Park.
The only negative thing we can offer is that the standard room is very basic, and shows some signs of...
"This tranquil hotel is a highlight of our trip. Such a peaceful place. Nice rooms, great beds, entertainment room, full kitchen for guest use and a delicious breakfast is available. Highly recommended and not far from SJO airport. The staff was very helpful and so nice!"
"Muy bonita propiedad, el personal muy amable, los shows muy amenos y divertidos
Los cuartos son viejos pero muy limpios y tienen todo lo necesario, espaciosos, la comida muy variada al igual que las bebidas, Wi-fi excelente, muchas actividades para toda la familia
El único detalle es que la página para reservar es lenta y a veces no funciona bien"
"The location was beautiful. The rooms are VERY large. I was not aware that the room did not have a/c or fan (but I did not read the details, I just assumed it did because of the pricing) the weather was not super hot this day so it was ok, but on a warmer day it definetly needs it, also no TV at least in our room, the bathroom had some leaking in the shower. The beds and pillows were ok. Maybe we just assumed beacuse of the price that it would be a little more premium. But the experience was Ok...
