"This hotel was highly convenient to the bus terminal as well as where the ferries disembarked. We came to the hotel quite late at night and Heidi, at the front desk, was so helpful to us and even helped us get into a more acceptable room than what we had previously booked. She was also there throughout our stay to answer quick questions and suggested options for us in regards to getting to the airport. Our room was quite nice and we had a view of the water. The only area that probably needed some attention was the floor was quite scratched from prior use. The hotel seems to be going through a mild refresh. The breakfast was amazing. Probably one of the best ones we've ever had. Whatever your cultural standards are for breakfast, they were met at this location. Another area that was showing a little bit worse for wear were the the fabric seating areas in the breakfast area. They need to be redone and or changed out to be a more durable surface that can take spills and such without leaving a mark, given that we saw a lot of children and that's just the nature of having children (spills, smudges, and greasy/sticky hands). We also liked their main level bar and the bartender was very friendly and helpful, especially when the hotel was hosting the last game for Norway vs England and housing the musicians for the country music festival occurring at the same time. Good job, Clarion--The Edge!"
"Our premium room overlooked the harbour so it was lovey to watch the boats coming & going, but was equally quiet at night.
It was central for our needs, close to port dock, Cathedral, shops & restaurants.
The room was clean but showing signs of needed maintenance worn carpets & chipped paintwork.
Plenty of choice of breakfast food,"
"Great location, quiet and forested. Walking distance to the Arctic cathedral, the cable car and across the foot bridge to central Tromso! Good breakfasts and a wonderful place overall. Very kind and friendly staff. No complaints at all!"
"Excellent service during both my stays this summer. The staff is Spanish speaking though skillful enough in English. I had most communication with an Argentine guy, and this guy is so pleasant, helpful and positive that he himself is a commercial for the hotel. Most Norwegians have a lot to learn from this guy."
"Perfectly fine property. We paid low tariff for it, so we were really happy to be right on the harbor. Didn’t eat there, but it could not have been more central"
"Fantastic location and sea views.
Amazing staff who are very helpful, especially William and Lasse, Thank you.
Room 616.
We would love to return one day. 👍"
