The staff was kind and helpful. The room was quaint and clean. Breakfast was delish and so much better than the continental breakfast offered at so many hotels!
Comfortable Inn, well kept, well managed, excellent service, fine breakfast. Not ultra luxurious but more than sufficient with large bedrooms, comfortalble beds, and large common rooms.
Our room was super cute and very clean. I really liked taking with the inn keeper and she was very helpful. As a matter of fact, we left something behind by accident and she went out of her way to go find the item. When she located it, she called me and mailed it out the same day. This was so appreciated! When we are in the area again, we will make this our first choice.
It was a very cute and cozy getaway with very friendly staff. The inn itself was so nicely decorated and breakfast/coffee was delicious. The only thing that bothered us was how there was no one at the entrance after 9pm and how all the doors were unlocked. Felt extremely quiet and unsafe at night. Besides that the rooms eere beautiful and we had a very lovely ski getaway!
We were so impressed by the Dowd’s Country Inn! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly from the minute we walked in. The property is also beautiful, with clearly historic details that have been very well maintained. Our room was lovely and comfortable, though my only qualms were low water pressure and the bed was a bit firm for my liking. Possibly the highlight was the amazing breakfast, included in your stay. They make your breakfast to order and have several options. I got pancakes and my fiancé had an omelet; both were absolutely delicious.
This was my first Inn experience. The stay was nice. The inn lovely. The town was quiet and cute. My favorite part of the Inn was the dining room. It looked out over the garden area. There was a stove with a fire lit at breakfast time. A very cozy feeling. The breakfast of French toast was excellent. The coffee perfect.
The property was lovely. The stairs could be a problem for some people, the up and down could be difficult. Some squishy pillows for the beds would be nice addition.
The general store next to the inn had a lot of home baked goods and sandwiches available in the morning.
In all enjoyable stay.
Unfortunately the Tavern eatery was closed so the only food available was at Stella’s Italian Restaurant next door. Stella’s was delicious and expensive. All in all, it’s a fine place to stay. Colonial & cozy.
The Marshland looks like it had a leak. The room smelt of mold. We are in out late 60's. The stairs were difficult. When my wife asked for another room she was teated very rudely.
There was very noisy wedding reception with people everywhere. No place to relax. Not worth the money.
The Inn was cute and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! Two doors down was Stella's Italian Restaurant with great food and an incredible bakery, so very convenient to the Inn! The town closes up early, so be prepared.
The property is lovely and the staff very attentive. I will recommend this Inn to anyone planning to go to the New Hampshire area. I hope that the Inn Keepers will be able to find the staff to open their Tavern again. We missed being able to eat there.
The limited staff were very friendly. Breakfasts were quite nice for a B and B. Lyme is a prototypical country town and near alot of great areas for exploring.

Morning breakfast was personalized, made to order. We will stay here again!☺️
Love old buildings and this one has been maintained with live and style. Loved all the porches and quiet nooks to unwind. Comfortable bed. Excellent coffee. Caring hostess. Wish I had time to explore the grounds.
decent rooms. price wise worth it.. clean, plenty of hot water. nice amenities. didn't get to try breakfast as i left before it was served.. friendly/helpful staff. was a nice 2 night stay when i visited family recovering at dartmouth medical

Place is a little dated, but I guess is what you get when you book country old farm house, breakfast was amazing, only downside was that the tavern was closed, had to drive 30 min for food daily, other than that was good resting room for 2 days.
Very charming, extremely well managed property. Staff were very engaging and the grounds were spotless. The room and bed were comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was delicious. A great quiet spot about 15 minutes north of Hanover.
Super comfortable, attached to the tavern which has amazing food. The breakfast that is included is not your mass produced slop. They make it from scratch for each person and it’s delicious. Will happily stay/eat here again.
