"Don’t often leave reviews but if you want a break from the Monday to Friday hotel life, this place is ideal. Was greeted as soon as I arrived and offered a choice of rooms. The room had a massive bed and a seating area, plenty of tea and coffee and was offered fresh milk which I accepted. Breakfast was made to order, had a beautifully presented fruit salad, followed by a great fry up made with quality ingredients. Even the WiFi was great "

"What a find! The Dinney’s was an absolute pleasure to stay in. It has charm, quirkiness, beautiful decor and incredible scenery. The hosts are warm and welcoming and the breakfast was divine! Highly recommend this B&B and it is the perfect location for The Astbury if you are attending an event there. "

"If you can, avoid room 011 (ground floor), not sure what is above but footsteps came through the ceiling late at night and again early morning which woke me. Told reception on leaving but just got a “sorry about that”. Some staff nice and friendly. Public areas OK but a bit tired in places. Free parking and a service station in walking distance. Overall did the job but not cheap. "
"You have to pay £10 per person per day to use any of the pool facilities (this was not clear until after check in)
You also have to pay £10 to park per day (again not clear until checked in)
The lady covering reception upon my arrival was quite abrupt

"We had a really enjoyable stay at The Feathers Inn in Ludlow. Our bedroom was spacious and spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable visit. The hotel is ideally located right in the centre of Ludlow, making it perfect for exploring the town.
A big plus was the car park at the back of the hotel — it’s quite spacious, and we were pleasantly surprised to still find available spaces even though we arrived after midnight. The late check-in option is a real advantage and made our arrival stress-free.
The staff were very welcoming, especially Kate, who was extremely helpful when we arrived.
The only thing to be aware of is the pricing for dogs. The rate advertised on Hotels.com (£10 per stay) didn’t match what we were charged, which was £20 per night per dog. This is quite a significant difference and something that might have influenced our decision had we known in advance (as we have two dogs). The charge for the car park was £15.
Overall, a very positive experience and a great place to stay in Ludlow — just worth double-checking pet charges beforehand."
"Fantastic Location within easy walking distance of the theatre, bars and restaurants. Slightly dated in some areas but excellent service and lovely staff: "
"Unfortunately in this case you get what you pay for. Whilst this hotel was the cheapest around, it certainly felt like it once you stepped inside.
We were told 24 hours before our stay that there would be no food available at the hotel, which didn’t leave us anytime to cancel and book a different one somewhere else. Annoyingly it looks like this has been the case for a while.
The pictures had shown the hotel overlooking a lake/large pond but what was there was just a remnant of the pond which was now dirty and full of rubbish. Our room had a window at the end of our bed which was looking directly into another 4 rooms, so we had to keep the curtains closed.
Our bathroom had mould on the walls, and despite having an ironing board, there was no iron. The beds have spring mattresses which feel like they have seen better days and the heating came on around 5pm so the room was very cold before that.
I will say the shower had great pressure as did the toilet, but the walls were so thin we could hear the neighbours doing everything in their bathroom.
Staff were polite but felt very uninterested in our presence.
I feel the charm this hotel once had is long gone.
On the plus side it is walking distance from The Wrekin trail and the ercall trail with free parking, so ideal if you just want somewhere to sleep inbetween treks. "
"From reception staff to breakfast staff there were excellent. The location of the hotel is perfect for seeing all the sights. Breakfast was excellent.
Apart from that the room were basic. Nothing special. Hotel has been given 4 stars. I think it should be 3 stars.
Also when booking this hotel. They should give details where the carpark is. "
"Really lovely spot, stayed for one night before the races at Ludlow which is 15 minutes away. Had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Stayed in room 8 which has a 4 poster and a large bathroom. Staff were excellent. "
