"Everything was perfect. The location is ideal and the beach across the street is perfect. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Would recommend 1000 times over"

"Overall, would recommend. A few things that could have made things even better - the resort is so huge, it can be confusing to figure out where everything is (there is a paper map provided during check in, but think an interactive/app would be much easier to navigate). It’s not always clear what is/isn’t included when staying at the resort (lots of things are discounted, but lots aren’t). The pool is a beach club. Not always suitable for children (we had our 2.5 year old with us and it could be a little rowdy in the afternoons/evenings. V quiet in the mornings. Also worth nothing that a DJ starts in the afternoon and the loud speakers are beside the kids pool making it unsuitable for young families in the afternoon/evening). The beach loungers are cash only - not a problem other than we didn’t know and had to trek back to our villa to get some as only had our phones for payment. Pristine accommodation with exceptional amenities. If returning, would get a villa with a pool next time. Parking meters at beach were broken in lots of spots so could be hard to make payment to avoid any fines. Staff in reception a little cold at times, but overall in the restaurants, beach club etc friendly and helpful. Prices reasonable for an upscale location with lots of choice for meals (of varying quality and choice). We didn’t use the shuttle as we had a rental car, and we were glad we had it as with a small child waiting up to 30 mins (as quoted at check in) would not have worked for us."

"Overall, the hotel is worthy of 4 stars. The staff were exceptional from the outset. We had a few minor issues but they were resolved quickly. We especially want to thank Bruno and Leonora. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. We would definitely stay here again."

"Second time @ Dona Fillpa. A lovely quiet relaxing time again Staff great. Pool a little chilly but perfectly ok. Located next to bars and restaurants and close to beach"

"All staff generally good. However hotel room lacks a few basic Amenities which generally 3 Star hotels do have. Such as, No bedside drawers,in the bedside tables. No bathroom cabinet to use for toiletries, no fridge nor any kettle for tea or coffee. Parking was fine."

"Beautiful hotel and fantastic surroundings close to the beach and marina (with many restaurants, shops, bars, gelaterias). Staff are very helpful. Breakfast is fantastic. Rooms are spacious with lovely linen and towels."

"After an issue checking in where our booking was lost Jose placed us in a fab Junior Suite with kitchenette, sofa and bed. All hyper clean with great view of the beach and harbour entrance. Breakfast was the best with great choice from cooked to fruit & yoghurt to pastries. Always love coming to stay and never let's us down. Always recommend Vilamoura and especially the Ampalius."
