The front desk associate who greeted us upon arrival was extremely kind and welcoming. Check in was quick with no issues. When we got to our room we discovered the floor was very wet by the air conditioning unit. Luckily this was on the far side of the room, however we could not use the floor space to store our suitcases etc to keep them out of the way since the floor was soaked. I went to the front desk to advise of the wet floor. Again, this associate was very friendly and apologized for the room condition. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and they were unable to move us. Maintenance was also off for the night. She wrote a note for maintenance to address the issue the next day. In the morning I checked back with front desk to see when maintenance would be coming and advised we would be out of our room most of the day. Front desk stated they would reserve another room for us and when we got back from our event we could switch rooms to allow maintenance time to get the repair taken care of and floor completely dry.
We stopped at the desk when we returned for the evening and the associate was not aware of any arrangements to change our room. She had to call someone else and was told maintenance had been in our current room and fixed the issues, dried the floor and also that the hotel was again booked with no rooms available to switch.
We went back to our room and the wetness of the floor was improved, but still too wet to use the space for our belongings.
