First impressions were slightly underwhelming, but ignore those, the hotel is excellent and the staff are great. The food was wonderful and the pool was lovely. To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. Criticisms - the room tended to get quite hot and there is public transport but it’s a bit of a walk away, but those a minor criticisms. On the main question - would I go back? Yes. Gladly. Gratefully.

Nice, I liked having a reserved table with my name on for breakfast. Nice touch.

Plenty of parking in front of the building or directly across the street (reserved for the hotel), friendly check-in, excellent food (breakfast, lunch and dinner - we ate there every night), spacious, pleasant and light room

Nice hotel in a great littel town, superb views both in summer and winter. Good for sking with lift at the hotel. We were visiting friends and the hotel was convenient for us, but very nice and comfortable with a new bathroom. Big rooms and facilities. Very nice. Freudenstadt is a lovely town, worth visiting.

Smart but comfortable, efficient and friendly. Beautiful hotel and grounds, and all the staff were great at their jobs (and nearly all spoke very good English). Pool and spa area were a great experience. Breakfast buffet was very very good. Dinner was not cheap but very good cuisine. No idea how some people managed lunch on full board as well!?

We had originally booked a Comfort Room with three beds with a Forest view for my husband and I and our daughter, for one night, but on arrival at the hotel they upgraded us at no extra charge to a Lake view room with an interconnecting room for our daughter, with large balcony, which were lovely. We ate in the hotel that night and the food was excellent, although the wine was rather pricey

It was amazing and the hotel has everything you need! Only 1 thing to watch for - electric charging point is not working so plan for alternative charging mechanism in your plan- rest everything simply perfect

Everything was wonderful.

Recently stayed here for 1 night on a longer tour of the area. Lovely hotel in a very good location to explore the area, 40 minute drive into Triberg. Room was very clean and comfortable, staff extremely helpful and friendly and breakfast was very nice. Would certainly come back.

Everything wasn’t so good about this hotel from the easy parking with an electric car charger to the clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast every morning, friendly and helpful staff, definitely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at.

Great hotel. Very modern but no Aircon. Very central with a few bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away. Only 10 Mins from Triberg. On site car park or if full, more spaces just aground the corner. Good breakfast selection.
