Los Frailes Trip

We had a very enjoyable stay overall. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly throughout our visit. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The food was good, with enough variety to find something you enjoyed at every meal. One thing that could be communicated more clearly is the beach access. We knew the hotel was not beachfront, but we expected the beach arrangements to be easier to understand. During our stay, we discovered that Juan Dolio Beach is public, and we also learned through social media that access to the neighboring hotel’s beach facilities is only included with certain packages or room categories. That part was a bit confusing at first. Aside from that, everything was well organized, and we would definitely consider staying here again if we return to the area.

Staff was exceptionally helpful and very polite

I have been in Emotions 4 times. It used to be a great place to be. Emotions Juan Dolio is not the same as it was 3-5 years ago. the rooms stay with humid, there's no vent in the bathrooms, the faucets are all old and rusty, Leak anywhere. The fridges are tooooo small and don't work. house keeping is very deficient: Hair and dust are anywhere on the floor. Mirrors are old and dirty. They don't provide hygiene tools like they used to. In the restaurant under the disco, they don't scrub or mop the floor regularly, making it very sticky. Flies are everywhere posing on the food. the personnel is clearly reduced. The staff does the best they can but still they are toooo short. I would suggest a change of strategies with groups of 3 people doing the round at the same time specifically in the restaurant to pick up the dirty plates, sanitize or clean, prepare the tables with new utensils faster and more efficiently. The bar is fine, the guys are very cool and prepare whatever drink you want. Air conditioning is also ok so far. Due to my last experience 7/26 to 8/4/2026, we were a group of to couples, incredibly, all of us agreed not to visit Emotions again. We used to love it, but this last experience has changed our feeling for it. One more thing: PLEASE, quality control in the kitchen. All of us in my group had upset stomach after eating a kind of red beans they had in the menu, 3 days with diarrhea!

Excelente hotel, servicio y atención. Definitivamente la mejor opción en Samaná por muy lejos, y además muy conveniente. Bien ubicada, con aparcamiento techado y conector de vehículos eléctricos. El paquete todo incluido es excelente y nos encantó. Excelente el servicio en recepción, y el restaurante Caraoba. La piscinas son excepcionales y la vista es la mejor. Solo pequeños detalles como el sonido del aire acondicionado en nuestra habitación, y que se terminaron algunos productos durante nuestra estancia. Todo lo demás por encima de lo esperado.
