"The place has a bright and very colorful feel yet is a place of peace away from the outside world. Avalon can be a pretty busy place when the cruise ships come in, then you walk up a short alley and forget where you are. "

"The staff were all very nice. The rooms were nice too and I liked the bunk bed for the kids. The AC worked great! I did not like having to climb 3 flights of stairs just to get to our room each day. No elevators. Also, things close down early on the island and there's no pool or jacuzzi to wind down at the end of the evening. There is no lobby either. I asked the staff for a microwave to warm up some food for my son, and he showed me to a small staff area with a dirty microwave. I had to walk down the street to get a plastic spoon from a nearby restaurant. But the location was amazing!!! Everything is within walking distance which is so helpful."

"THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS PERFECT AND THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND BIG. FROM THE TIME YOU WALKED IN TO THE HOTEL YOU SAW HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS THERE. IF YOU GO ON TO THE LAST FLOOR THEY HAVE A PATIO THAT OVERSEES THE OCEAN AND THE VIEW WAS SO GORGEOUS."
