Logny-lès-Aubenton Trip

We had an excellent short stay at Dadou Paris. It is ideally located very close to the Arc de Triomphe so easy access to the designer shops on the Champs Elysees. Its position on a side street gave some peace and calm away from bustling Parisienne life. The Charles De Gaulle Toile metro station is a 2mins walk from the hotel and gives easy access to all the tourist attractions. The hotel itself is petit but cleverly designed so space doesn't feel cramped. The room was clean and well equipped. There was a good choice of food available for breakfast. With so many restaurants and cafes in the local area we chose to eat out on an evening. We used the spa in the basement one evening, It was very relaxing space and the sauna plus jacuzzi were just what our feet needed after a long day of walking. Finally credit must go to the reception staff who greeted us with a smile every time we passed them. They went out of their way to help us on our stay ranging from recommendations for nearby restaurants to directions of places we wanted to visit. We had total trust to leave our luggage with them after we had checked out on our final day before we headed to the airport. To conclude we will likely visit Paris again at some point in the future and would not hesitate to stay at Dadou again!!

Pros: location to the Louvre and walking distance to Orsay, Notre Dame, etc. couple very good restaurants around the corner, grocery store, and shopping. Pretty quiet overall. AC was decent. Cons: beds were stiff, shower water was like warm at best. Only made aware after our stay that there was an issue. Should have been upfront about the problem so that we could tell the staff if it was not fixed. At the end of walking 20K steps in the heat, I just want to take a hot shower. Water gets everywhere when you shower and towels won’t help. Stairs only. Not their fault, but be aware especially if you are on the 4th floor like us. Staircase is spiral. The closest train station is Chatelet les Halles which is a 15 min walk. Overall, was not impressed with the hotel itself. I think I could find a similar value elsewhere. I think if you’re needing something basic and the Louvre is your focus, then it’s great. Otherwise, keep researching.
