"Wagon was in a lovely location on a farm and owner was very nice, once I managed to find the farm , but checking in time or instructions would have been helpful . Bed was comfortable and I did appreciate the tea, sugar and milk provided , but the room itself was quite cold -with one tiny inadequate heater . Bathroom was also very cold and smelled very damp and unfortunately the toilet seat was loose and shooting off to one side. "

"Me, my partner and our two dogs stayed at rabbit hill hut for a week this July and honestly couldn't fault it. It had everything you could need. The Shepard's hut was perfect for the 4 of us to sleep, get washed and prepare light meals. The enclosed garden was fantastic for our lurcher and springer spaniel, they loved interacting with the horses and sheep in the next field, and we loved the extra seating area. Only met the host once in passing, he was really lovely to talk to about the area and...

Inside, the cottage is equally serene and well thought out, with lots of windows, plentiful hooks in the bathroom and a great walk in shower, as well as a clean and spacious kitchen and living room. "Had a good stay, room was clean, staff friendly, adequate parking and amenities close to town. My only niggle is the temperature of the room, was an oven and make for an uncomfortable sleep. Decor is a bit dated, but can’t be helped. There also seems to be what appears to be a bird nest or something in the roof or something because inwas aware there was no floor above me and the noise the birds were making and rustling about in the early hours was quite frustrating. Couple of little elements will elevate this hotel to excellent, but overall I had a good stay and the breakfast was great too. Thanks."

"We weren't expecting Porters Lodge to be in the Chapterhouse of Belmont Abbey! A pleasant surprise. Nice, quiet location a few minutes drive from Hereford centre. The room and ensuite were clean and bright. Comfortable large single beds with nice quality bedding. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area"

"A lovely hotel in an idylic location. Car park is £8 for 24 hrs paid through the hotel, breakfast was good and plentiful and the room was large and quiet. There are evening meals served here and also a pub next door with meals and riverside seating. 1 min walk to the ferry that can take you across the river to another pub that serves food all day. Had a great night stay here and I will be back."

"Lovely old building. Staff were excellent, helpful and cheerful. Very nice breakfasts, didn't dine there in the evening, so can't comment on the evening meals. Having parking to the rear was most useful, but has limited number of spaces. Only "negative" was being a very old property the stairs were a bit of a challenge if you are on the top floor."
