Wish I had gone there instead! It's a WONDERFUL hotel/restaurant/spa etc, much closer to my home in Oswestry, but I FOOLISHLY decided to try the Mercure in Shrewsbury - never again! No comparison between these two 4-star hotels: Lion Quays almost 5-star for wonderful food, superb service, attractive restaurant/bar, can-do attitude by staff in favour of the client: Mercure a money-grabbing,grubby, boring S***H***!!!!
