"The rooms ( 3rd floor) dont have air conditioned, 35 deg heat was unbearable. The hotel eventually provided a weak desk fan. The windows at that level dont open fully so no draught either..
The room was clean, however the rainfall shower was not cleaned on the top, very dusty, ironically it should have been easy to get to as it was way way to low down and impossible to use. Elimis products very nice."
"We had an accessible room and it made my life so much easier. Breakfast was also amazing. Parking was extra and at £66 for three days, very expensive."
"A lovely hotel, competitively priced with very clean, very spacious and well maintained rooms judging by my own. The hotel is located next to a very clean and pretty marina, and is just a short walk from restaurants, the main shopping area and the (very steep!) hill up to the cathedral and castle. Breakfast is a very well stocked buffet, offering cereals, fruit and pastries as well as the traditional fayre. All staff I came across were pleasant and very polite. The on site car park is fairly large, although I stayed in May and did get the impression that in the summer peak months you would need to arrive early to have a good chance of getting a space. I doubt there would be enough spaces for all guests arriving by car. You register your car at Reception on arrival and so I would think that if you left it during your stay you should get a space on return because the hotel would know how many cars are registered at any given time."
"Clean room, easy check in and some very good air con in the heat! Nice peaceful location with the chance of a nice river stroll into Lincoln. Excellent on site restaurant"
"We really enjoyed staying at The Duke Williams. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, the included breakfast was delightful (really loved the blueberry pancakes!), and we loved how close it was to the Cathedral and castle. We also appreciated the sound-proofing of the room and the natural light through the windows. The only thing that was tough for us was the mattress. Combined with the heat wave and no air conditioning, it made for a tough sleep unfortunately. The room did come with standing fans, but even at their highest power and the window cracked open, it couldn’t combat the heat. We would definitely stay here again, but hope that the bed would be made a bit more comfortable and that some stronger fans would be offered."
"- Great location, easy to get to by car and surprisingly quiet at night time.
-About a 10-15 min drive into the city centre which was perfect for us and wouldn’t cost much for a taxi if wanted either.
-The hotel reception staff were welcoming and friendly, and the reception area is clean and modern.
-Our room was lovely, spacious, and had everything we needed.
- There’s a golf sim/sport bar and restaurant next door which you get discount to
- And a fuel station on site! We didn’t realise but was a bonus
-The ONLY downside is that the shower didn’t work properly but, as we were only staying 1 night, we didn’t go through the hassle of moving rooms. I’m sure the reception team would have been more than accommodating if we’d asked."
"Will stay again
Wanted an outdoor space to sit as it was hot day just to enjoy the weather but didn’t find one but it was cool and lovely indoors in the seating area inside.
Room clean
Well maintained"
"The shower control was basically the easiest to use but it might be beneficial to have a notice above it stating:
"Water pressure is constant so the knob is to just alter the temperature""
