"Very friendly welcome when we had arrived very late. It was a stop off on our way to the ferry as a family of 5. This was ideal. All we needed. Would have been over to stay a bit longer as it was a lovely set up."

An excellent hotel to stay at whilst visiting the battlefields of WW1 on & near the Somme. Parking is free and plentiful, food (both dinner & the breakfast buffet) very well priced and enjoyable.

A 'proper' French residence with plenty of creative decorative flair that can only be found in this country. Manu, one of the hosts was a man of few words but the 'words' weren't his as it was in English but still good comms throughout my short stay.

Centrally located with lots of rooms, many with bunk beds, the hotel has the feel of a well appointed youth hostel with kitchen and recreation rooms which can be used as sitting rooms and for eating / drinking your own supplies. Stock up from local beer / wine shop!
The rooms are quite basic, but very adequate for what you need. Use the facilities down stairs as a sitting room rather than stay in the room.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming, but front desk closes at 17:30, so make sure...

What a lovely place - my Frensh is rusty [optimistically] but the lovely landlady speaks like her husband very good English. As there is no dinner service in the hotel they advised us [even on a monday - not many place serve food] to a nearby [7km] restaurant, where we had a fine meal after a long journey

Such a unique family run place with so much history. We had a really friendly welcome and wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was really good with many homemade products.

This is the third or fourth time that I have used this hotel in the last two years, and each time has been a pleasure. I am looking forward to my visit this September. Many thanks.
