We have booked this hotel to be a base for Cinque Terre boat trip.
Hotel had parking space, and was so close to the beach and boat harbour, as well as shops and restaurants.
The room we had was quite small and basic, we had 2 suitcases with us but could not open both at the same time. I had to tip toe to go around the bed as it was almost up against 3 walls. But it was comfortable enough room, and totally good value for money.
The most precious thing about this hotel was how lovely the staff were there.
The hotel is run by a young Italian man who speaks good English. Then there is his mum who is cooking and looking after customers like, well, a mother!
Mum came around to us at breakfast, asking if we need anything, then offered us a nice parmigiano omelet, which was most welcomed by my partner who was missing Britsih cafe style eggs badly :)
When we checked out and loading luggage onto our car rain started to fall heavily, all the while the car park was blocked off by a mysterious car who left a hazard light on but no driver in sight. Marco saw this and came out with his umbrella, then started knocking on every door in the neighbourhood trying to locate the driver. It took him a while and the driver finally dashed to the car to let us out.
In our short stay this sea shell covered place certainly made an impression on us. No wonder this hotel has really good reviews!
I would like to say a big thanks you to Marco and his Mum and the rest of people there xx
