"All the staff were very accommodating. The hotel is old but so beautiful. The view from the many terraces was outstanding. Breakfast was delicious with lots of varieties. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Splendid and were sad to leave our beautiful room and the amazingly kind and helpful staff. Ivana was especially helpful, but we enjoyed everyone. When my fiancé required medical attention, they called a doctor for him. The room was small but lovely, especially the balcony with the gorgeous view! The location was great. We can’t wait to return. "Air conditioning was very dated and seemed pretty weak- and it wasn’t that hot when we stayed there in early October. Also TVs were small for room size and the streaming services didn’t really work effectively because of limitations of the WiFi system. Loved the high ceilings and grand old hotel style furniture, furnishings and feel"

"Property was wonderful - was hoping for a heated pool, but no, so no swimming. Staff and our room were great. The only thing that could use some attention are the bathrooms/showers in the lobby and there wasn’t a secure room to store luggage after checkout. "

"This room was a great size and the separate shower/ toilet to sink area and large wardrobe room was great when you have four people sharing. The room had plenty of space and the balcony and seabird were great. We found the breakfast quality to be good and varied and loved the pool ( big enough to swim in properly and not too busy). Yes the hotel is down or up a steep drive depending which way you approach and driving through Taormina isn’t easy ( narrow streets and people everywhere) but the town is beautiful and the hotel was in a great location - easy walk to restaurants. We did a road trip around Sicily and this was one of our favourites in terms of location, room, view, food and pool."
