"Be forewarned, it's a random pick if you get a good room or not. Not all rooms are the same as advertised. Stayed longer than a week, changed room once. Paid for an ocean view (and a sanctuary in paradise). First room was near the loading dock and ear jarring noise at 10pm (trash compactor) and from 6am-8am (trucks going forward and backing up). 75% view of the ship harbor, which was pretty but wasn't the ocean. Second room quiet, but 10% harbor view (90% green turf surface, fences or mountain/sky). I felt like I drew a short straw (twice) for what I paid especially as you see the numerous rooms overlooking the ocean. So, if you get a nice room, you're happy. If you don't, well..."
"Room was reasonably clean, AC worked fine. The place looks like it has deteriorated significantly over 20 years perhaps due to hurricanes. Still the staff was nice and helpful at times. Perfect ocean views from all rooms, and easy access - 3 min walk from airport"
"The bad part: rooms outdated, bed uncomfortable, shower way too small, lighting poor, TV poorly installed, quality of breakfast items subpar.
The good part: very good genuine service from ALL the people I’ve been in contact."
"This is a wonderful resort to stay at. The room was very clean, love the privacy and beautiful grounds. The staff was very helpful and the restaurant had delicious food. Literally the only issue we had was that our TV don’t work in our room, but didn’t complain as we didn’t need it much anyway. Great place to stay. "
Royalton CHIC Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort – Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"I wish that there were activities to do solo. Kayak or something. I’m a solo traveler. Lovely area. Very well maintained. Food was excellent. Staff was fantastic. Everything easy to find and manageable. Very quick to service needs. I came in from a horrible resort to here due to lack of water, electricity. They got me into an area to shower and a drink in hand asap. Really turned my vacation and vibe around. Great pool bar, beautiful beaches and area. 4.7 stars.
The behavior from a minority of the black bracelets (you wear red or black, black has a butler) was appalling. They must have never travelled or seen anything anywhere before, VERY obnoxious behavior. "
"Where should I start this horrid revelation of a review at? The loss of power, wifi, water and no food. Traveling as a solo female and have travelled many times solo prior. This place is comparable to the Shawshank Redemption of motels. This IS NOT A RESORT. This place is owned by the government and they do not maintain this hell hole. The only thing pleasant there was the staff and the view and that DOES NOT INCLUDE THE FRONT DESK STAFF. No communication. Management just laughed at the issue that had been going on for days. I arrived to this. Just “you’re holding the line from others checking in” to multiple people requesting information about the whereabouts of water, food and electricity. Had to sleep with the doors open to get air. Was ate completely up by mosquitoes. Horrible beds, might as well slept on the floor. Disgusting bathrooms. There was no water to even drink. Walked to the beach to clear my head, was came at by everyone on the island selling this that or the other. That is not a protected resort. I had to walk to a bodega to charge my phone in order to call Expedia to get tf out of this hell hole. DO NOT STAY HERE. Please!! If you want to
Enjoy any portion of your vacation, I beg of you, DO NOT STAY HERE. You would be better sleeping with the animals on the beach. "
