Charm, friendliness, and good food.

We have stayed at Le Marius before and this time was in line with the lovely experiences we have had before. The village of Ricey Bas is charming. The hotel is conveniently situated just by the church in the centre of the village. Our room was so romantic, with massive beams, and a view of the château. Dinner achieved the usual high standard we have come to expect there. Of course, the wines were superb. The breakfast offered a good range of choices. The staff were all charming and helpful. To sum up, we had a great stay at Le Marius, and we hope we will be able to return.

Lovely, restful and good dining

Beautifully restored small hotel in the middle of town. Very helpful staff and an excellent restaurant - with very inexpensive champagne. We parked behind the church across the road. The area was very quiet. The only negative was poor wifi on the some floors but this is a solidly built building and the dining room is in a cellar. Not a great problem for a short stay.

Lovely, comfortable and friendly place to stay.

Great stay. Our room was so lovely, large, romantic, with beautiful beams and a great view over roofs. Bathroom was spacious and well equipped. We had a really good meal in the hotel's restaurant. We have stayed before, and will try to again.

petit bijou pour une étape au vert et au calme

ètape ds cet hôtel situé dans un petit village, sur la place de l'église avec un charme certain. Très bon accueil , restaurant attenant de l'hôtel excellent, avec des plats faits maison délicieux. Etape calme, permettant de se mettre au vert. petit stress au petit déjeuner , car venue plus tôt qu'indiqué la veille, mais résolu rapidement. Les propriétaires sont exploitants avec un champagne chardonnay excellent et un rosé

Quiet Hotel

Good family run hotel in small attractive village with nice attached restaurant. Interesting museum and sites within easy reach. e.g.Renoir's house and Resistance Museum (closed on Wednesdays). Good for a short stay.

Charming hotel in a charming town

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Marius, it's located to to North of Les Riceys in a convenient location close to the Church and Chateau. The hotel itself was great, it's an old building converted into a hotel and restaurant. We ate at the restaurant which is in a converted cave, and the food was very good with a long list of champagnes to choose from. The accommodation itself was very nice, the rooms were elegant and charming, retaining the original beams from the building. The staff were friendly and welcoming, we would visit again.

This is a lovely hotel with rooms beautifully designed and furnished in several old buildings. The staff /reception were very accommodating. Excellent affiliated restaurant next door. The one hitch was that Expedia had indicated that a crib would be provided at no cost. However, the hotel said their crib was too small for a two year-old and therefore provided a cut instead. This two year old still sleeps in a crib and therefore ended up spending the night in her parents bed, which was less than ideal. And then the hotel charged an extra 25€ for the cot which wasn’t used. A very hefty addition considering the room was only 93€ and a crib was supposed to be available and free.

Bien, mais!

Bel hôtel de style ancien avec de grosses poutres apparentes et restauration dans une superbe cave voutée. A savoir que l'hôtel est à coté de l'église, pour ceux qui pourraient être dérangés par le son des cloches. Déçu par la réflexion de la patronne lorsque je lui ai fait remarqué discrètement qu'il y avait un intru dans la salade. Cela dit, c'est naturel.

trop de sécurité nuit à l'hospitalité

bon rapport qualité prix. le petit déjeuner décevant avec des viennoiseries rassises que nous avons d'ailleurs réclamées si la serveuse du restaurant était absolument charmante, l'accueil à l'hôtel par les propriétaires était plutôt froid(porte d'accès fermée avec code obligatoire même en plein jour!!!!) et pas un sourire aussi bien à l'arrivée qu'au départ la fiche à remplir à l'arrivée est-elle indispensable???? On se serait cru dans les années 60 C'est dommage car la chambre était très belle et le repas très convenable
