" This hotel is always a great stay. This was the first time we had an issue. I went to the breakfast area to make a bagel for my son and one of the managers was completing the hiring process for a few employees seated at the eating tables. I overhead the manager talking about waiving the 30 minute break and audit implications and telling the new hires that they could take a 10 minute break if they needed it in their car or wherever they wanted. The manager went on to say that if 30 minute break was really needed it could be taken and at one point there was a comment about signing out. I was just trying to toast my bagel and put some cream cheese on it for my son but it was impossible not to overhear the conversation. To me it felt really unfair as I don’t think these new hires could say anything otherwise to these comments because they were accepting the job. When I left I asked a room cleaner about it and she said yes it is a labor practice issue but then said she likes working here very much and her boss is great. I asked because I really like the staff here and I was hoping I was just confused about what I thought I was hearing. Upon check out the manger in a very aggressive manner showed me the law about how an employee can waive their rights. I let her know my concern was that her new hires might not feel comfortable speaking their mind. She responded by saying they would feel comfortable and that she mentioned that aspect in the very early hiring stage too. She went o"
"The breakfast was food, but as many bugs and roaches that I found in the hotel I didn’t really want to eat any of it. The hotel charged me for incidentals when I know for a fact, I left my room clean. I feel like I got charged for incidental since I pointed out there was so many bugs in the hotel. I tried contacting corporate and they told me to talk to the hotel, but I feel like the hotel staff since they decided to charge me for the incidentals, why would they change their mind overall it was a great experience, even though I was just using it to stay for a few hours to get rest, but I’m definitely not using that hotel anymore in Bremerton, which is sad because it used to be a great hotel when I used to use it all the time for my Navy reserve weekends "
"Sure the place is on the older end but solid price, cozy room, and really nice view from the balcony! Personally it worked perfectly since it made the drive to Olympic Natl Park shorter while still not being too far from Seattle. Nice staff who were fortunately able to check us in at 1:30AM after our flight got delayed two hours :) Overall cozy inn for a very reasonable price, would stay again!"
"I just needed a place to spend the night and this place sufficed. It was clean, staff was friendly, and there were good breakfast options.
My only wish would be for more comfortable beds--maybe add pillowtop covers."
"I asked for another room and was willing to pay and was told I was in an upgraded room. There were gapping holes in the wall in the bathroom that I stuffed with Kleenex because I was worried someone was watching me. I asked for a balcony to sit on and was given a room that was over the roof and had stacks as my view and couldn’t even fit a chair if I wanted to. Again, I was told I had an upgrade. If that’s your upgrade, that is terrible. In the evening I went to purchase water on through separate occasions. Two of the staff were kind and provided it for free, a small kind gesture. The other staff, the same that told me I had an upgraded room charged me for the water. Inconsistent "
"Interior seemed to be renovated. Very clean. Comfortable beds/bedding. Spacious rooms. Nice that they provide shampoo and conditioner instead of the 2 in 1. Having breakfast delivered to our room was convenient. Access to small beach is nice. "
