The best place in New Zealand to see very large snapper easily while snorkeling.
Absolutely beautiful marine reserve. Went snorkelling there twice with Goats Island Dive & Snorkel. Orcas sometimes come into the bay (we missed seeing them by two days 😱)

Big snapper at Goat island. Goat island has been a marine reserve for some 30+ years and is probably the only place in the country you can easily see very large snapper swimming around.
