I stayed at the Rio from Wednesday to Saturday - all of the staff I interacted with was friendly and courteous. The hotel was clean, I didn't experience any construction issues. I never had to wait for an elevator. Valet was quick. Overall, highly recommend.

Loved the mattress and the water pressure! The fridge did not work. The hand towel in the bathroom had makeup on it first time we went to use it. The shower curtain stopped about a foot from the bottom...water everywhere on the floor.

Unconventional, but convincing concept that offers roomy and comfortable rooms and a healthy and tasty breakfast for a very reasonable price - as long as you don't mind the machine-based check-in. Great location close to the historic city center.
