Slow food service in the restaurant. Very expensive food price but it’s not equal to the value and quality of the food . Same goes to the hotel room price . This is probably a 3 star hotel

While our overall stay was good, there are still lots of things that need to be improved. The hotel may consider the following opportunities for improvement: 1. Considering the facility is on its soft opening, prices for overnight stay could have been not that expensive as if it is already in full blown operation. On top of that, holiday surcharge should have not yet been implemented. In fact, there’s no wifi yet and shuttle service is not yet available. The breakfast is also plated unlike before (buffet). 2. Toiletries should have been checked prior to guest occupancy. Shampoo was provided upon request. 3. Trash bins should have been provided accordingly. We still requested for trash bin in the CR. 4. Shower drainage was clogged. 5. Service was not that fast. We still need to make a follow up to provide us with shampoo and trash bin. 6. Restaurant menu was very limited and yet we were informed that there is a corkage fee for every heavy meal brought inside the premises. 7. This may be funny but there was a monitor lizard on the ceiling. 8. The socket for the electric kettle was not compatible to the outlet. Good thing we have brought an adaptor for our laptop. We hope that in our next stay, we can see improvement. Thank you.

Booked for my brother’s wedding and considering that the city has just been hit by the typhoon, i was ready to be forgiving. Some amenities were closed and its ok. The place still looked ok despite the damages left by the storm however i learned that there were 2 other events booked for the same night as my brother’s wedding and they were not prepared for it. The ac in the venue wasn’t working, the bar does not even have ice and drinks available for purchase and the staff serving were not very attentive. You should check on your events manager he/she is not doing her job well.

The food service was great. The service from the front desk was suspect. One day they could have a taxi to the airport at 4:30 AM, the next day they could not. Still have not figured that one out. The hotel is also out of the way from the main town somewhat.

Rather run down room, definitely in need of update. Not even a box of tissues in the room. Charged for extra bottles of water and ice bucket. Bright spot was helpful and polite staff.

The property was great and staff very friendly and accomidating. Like the check in area that we sit at desk instead of stand. The breakfast was great. The only problem was the lack of restaurants open. Me and wife having to wait until 6 pm.

Instagram-worthy infinity pool overlooking Mayon
Pros: We love the infinity pool adjacent to a smaller jacuzzi pool overlooking Mayon Volcano. Soft towels and robes that look new are provided. The rooms are spacious and the beds are firm and comfortable with also a great view of Legazpi City and the harbor especially at night. The staffs are friendly, courteous and very helpful. One immediately provided me with a flat iron and ironing board when I requested one for our wrinkled clothes. There was a fire dance during the night. There were no extra charges. What was written in the offered hotel deal was followed to the letter. For a Twin room with 2 adults and 2 kids, you get 4 free buffet breakfast. Cons: Buffet breakfast was not great, only chicken afritada, beef tapa, sayote with ground meet, pancit bato, fried dried fish, champorado and various desserts. The adults only liked the coffee station with different flavors and egg station with boiled and scrambled egg and where you can ask for unlimited omelette with various fillings and the kids liked the cereals station and pancakes with several options for syrup topping. Sadly, there's no maple syrup. It was also unfortunate that it was a cloudy day and there was a province-wide blackout so our room was not prepared more than an hour after check in time. But for a 4 star hotel, there should have been a generator in good working condition. However, the good thing is we checked out a little past 1PM and I was not charged extra for it.

The property was the most expensive in the area.. And as such you would expect top rate service and facilities... The hotel is in major need of refurbishment.. The carpets are badly worn the rooms badly need new furniture the bathroom needs attention. Food and drink service was soooo slow... Unbelievable slow service. Insects running around the bedroom.. Not ideal. Really.. Don't waste your money expecting top rated hotel. Stay at local cheaper hotels and save your money and you know what you will get.

A good stay that can even be better.
The Oriental is always my preferred choice. It’s vantage point is unmatched and on a clear day you are blessed with an excellent view of Mayon. The hotel’s rooms are comfortable. I love the firm pillows. The lifts are Schindler but sometimes the buttons act up. I prefer hotels with a gym and the Oriental has one but it needs organising and a good ventilation plus a water cooler. The food is good. It remains my first choice for Legazpi.

I've stayed at this hotel over the years since 2014 for my work trips. The staff of this hotel were really nice and responded quite fast this time. The external facade of the hotel looks nice, but over the years, the internal condition seems to deteriorated. This trip, we booked 5 rooms. While the beds and bathrooms were mostly clean, each room had its own set of issues. A summary would be: The shower in one room was stuck on Rain mode, the other in shower. One tap seemed to be stuck on blast mode. Water was lukewarm at best in some rooms. There were ants on the tables even though there was no food left lying around and other rooms had roaches. The fridges was barely able to chill any item inside even after 24hrs. One room had issues with the power, and the staff had to change the card for the power to work multiple times because apparently, the card lost its magnetism. The food for breakfast, while there was slight choice, at times was really salty. The dessert table, again was riddled with ants. Eg: The Leche Flan plate had ants around the rim just sipping in the syrup. For such a hotel, they charged for each bucket of ice as well. To be honest, we managed to get proper sleep each night and we were out by 0900hrs, so it worked out. But unfortunately, we may start looking at alternative hotels for our next trip.

I came from Canada,visiting the city. I've been wanting to stay in this hotel because it seems that it has a good location. When I get there at 8:30 am, they said that the check in time is 2pm. I was quite upset that the check in time is too late. Coming from overseas all you want is a room to take a rest from a long flight. I asked if they can offer me an early check in, and they said that it's really their policy that the check in time is 2pm, I would have to pay the half amount of the rate for the day if I really insisted to check in early. ( it's just a waste of money) so anyway, I'm already upset but what can I do. So after 3 I went back to the hotel and check in. The room is just ok. I was not impressed. I waited to Check in thinking that fine maybe the rooms are really great but no. ( I don't really think it's worth my money). I've been to so many hotels, they even allow u for early check in especially if u travel from overseas or other country. But this one, no. ( this is minus customer service points) The washroom, is ok. The flush is not working, I have to asked them to fix it. The curtain broke when I tried to slide the curtain to see the view. Again they needed to fix it. The drawers are not in very good condition. The staff are very nice and friendly The lobby looks elegant. The infinity pool is great, but not the washroom by the pool. It's dim ( needs more lighting) So overall 3/5. I wouldn't recommend it nor I'm going back to the hotel.

Luxury setting but losing its luster
Shower flooded the bathroom. Staff solution over the three days we were there was to lay down towels on the floor. Great view. Staff very attentive. Breakfast buffet was ok, like a luxury hotel buffet that has slowly tried to economize over time. Great fire dancer presentation.

Second time we have stayed, ist time was great, this time however we noticed the general outside condition of the building was looking weathered, needs coat of paint or cleaning, including the glass around pool/ bar area. After taking a seat at outside bar area later in the evening, and realising we weren’t going to be served at table, I approached a male bartender, who seemed annoyed at being disturbed from doing nothing. Breakfast had a good range, but as items ran out, didn’t get replaced. First in first served I guess.
