"C-Mauritius is a great value for money 4-star hotel. Staff are going the extra mile to make you feel warmly welcome. The food variety and quality/taste are very nice as compared to some other 4 or even 5 star hotels on the island. Ms. Anastasia of the reception will make your stay as enjoyable as possible. "While the resort is amazing and the service excellent, the resort is very expensive. Adice: Book all your dinner restaurants before you get there. Otherwise, you will get there and find out no reservations available for your whole trip in the restaurants and then have to go to the buffet and pay at least $56 + drinks per person. The restaurants are also quite expensive. So, advise you to look for options outside the resort though a bit limited sometimes if you don't have a car."

Seasense Boutique Hotel & Spa

"We enjoyed our week-long stay at Seasense and would give it a 4.5 score if we could. This small 63-room adult-only boutique hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are well appointed. Service is friendly and attentive, but can be slow at mealtimes. The exclusive beach is quite small and shallow but fine for a splash or a snorkel. The pretty à la carte restaurant is right by the sea, and there was no shortage of loungers, including with shade. The small pool is heated and lovely for a quick dip. The modest spa and sauna is a nice touch. Two issues however. First, noise from the road: the hotel is sandwiched on a small strip or land between the main coast road and the sea. More importantly, we found the food quite variable: occasionally excellent, always presented beautifully, but often bland and under-seasoned and cold. A shame given the reputation of Mauritian cuisine. Also, half the menu items (and nearly all the fish options) are subject to hefty supplements. The buffet night (combined with a free cocktail party for guests) was however enjoyable."

"Fantastic, relaxing stay at Sunrise Attitude. The hotel is so comfortable and chilled, with loads of comfy seating areas, really comfortable beds, and good amenities. The pools are both lovely - the main pool doesn’t have quite enough loungers but could always find space by the Social Club pool so this wasn’t an issue. Beach access across the road is really easy and plenty of loungers there too. The spa is lovely and had a great massage there, and the free snorkelling trip was great to do too. The only things that weren’t perfect were really not huge issues at all. The buffet at The Social House for lunch was a bit limited in choice, and due to not being very busy the food there was a bit dry at times in the heat for too long, but the Papaya bar lunch was nice (huge portions!). I was surprised by the lack of fresh fruit available - there was a fruit salad at all meals but this was very watery and, as someone slightly allergic to apples, wasn’t great as there was a lot of those - I was fishing out the orange slices to try and get some fruit in. And if you care about a hairdryer then bring your own - the one in the room is not even worth using, but it’s warm enough that drying naturally wasn’t a problem! The staff are really friendly & lovely, there are loads of activities on if you want to do those (a good mix of fitness and fun things) or you can just chill out if not. The evening music was a great mix with some really talented singers/musicians too. Thank you!"
