"Simon Hotel – Great Location, Service Needs Work
The Simon Hotel is in a prime location with easy access to several great nearby restaurants—that’s its biggest strength.
However, aspects of the rooms could use attention. Some furniture appeared stained, and there was a noticeable musty smell on certain floors and in some rooms. In my case, it was significant enough that I had to change rooms.
Dining was a challenge. Restaurant hours are limited and awkward, making it easy to miss both breakfast and dinner. Room service also closes very early—by 10:00 p.m.—which is unusual. On one occasion, I was advised to come downstairs for a simple fruit plate and coffee instead of using room service, which defeats the purpose of paying for that convenience.
Overall, an average experience with clear potential, but improvements are needed in room upkeep, service, and dining availability.

"There is NO beach at this hotel. There is a small , not very nice beach a short distance away but it is NOT a beach for spending any time. The hotel room had an ocean view but also a view of the port, which is the neighbouring property, and the marina. The pool is very small and the chairs around it are few. As far as value for money goes it doesn't match the price. The gym is minuscule and breakfast is NOT included. We had to pay 17 Euro per person for breakfast AND there are no nearby options. Car rental is a must."
"While the staff were nice and the beaches were great, the property and the sea view queen room was a bit antiquated and the tile floors need some attention especially around the edges and corners. The hall ceilings leaked leaving water puddles; no elevators and no one to assist with carrying luggage to the 3rd floor; no bottled water or bathroom amenities or room service; and no WiFi in the rooms. In fact it was horrible everywhere -we had a hard time completing our flight check in and immigration departure online. The birds were in the bread and eating off tables which lead us to observe bird poop on light fixtures in dining area. The property definitely needs some love and attention. I enjoyed my trip but I wouldn’t return to this establishment. Best-"
"Not a waterfront property, it has a view of a crowded public beach at the base of a steep climb. The bungalows are cute and clean but very modesty furnished with cheap furniture, thin towels, and minimal kitchen. The owner won't provide a gate code so one often has to street park and drag self, groceries, and luggage up an arduous, steep climb. The restaurant is seldom open, in a week and coming and going I never saw anyone eating there. No window screens, lots of mosquitoes and no-see-ums to join in the late night racket from beach parties. "
