LUX* Belle Mare
8/10 Good
"We absolutely loved our week at LUX* Belle Mare in mid-October! Lovely weather overall, with occasional showers. We've never experienced weather changing so dramatically within literally five minutes! :)
The hotel is beautiful, modern and exceptionally clean. Staff are generally polite and helpful. Special mention to Jennifer, the Celebration Manager – absolutely loved her! The bar team is great too, although occasionally you might get the opposite of what you ordered! 😂 Housekeeping could be more attentive with minibar and coffee refills, but reception always sorted things quickly.
Food was a real highlight! Duck Laundry (Chinese) and Amari (Indian) are absolute must-visits. We went to Duck Laundry three times, even paying extra on All-Inclusive! Amari was equally fantastic. The buffet offers huge variety, but unfortunately, most hot food was cold. Desserts looked Instagram-worthy but lacked flavour.
The beach is probably the hotel's biggest advantage: stunning turquoise water, incredibly white sand and, importantly, beautifully clean. Having walked both ways along the coastline, we think it's one of the best around. The water was lovely in the sunshine, but surprisingly cold without it!
Our biggest disappointment was evening entertainment. The live band was nice, but performances were short, and we expected more atmosphere and variety.
Despite these little drawbacks, we had an amazing holiday. Definitely worth the money. Highly recommended – we'd happily return! ❤️"
"From the moment we arrived to the time we left we couldnt have been more happy. Never having spent time in an all inclusive resort before, we couldn't belive how relaxed we became. The staff were fantastic especially the restaurant staff, and the food choice we were able to feed the kids without complaints. The hotel is rough around the edges but nothing impacted on our time.
We come to Mauritius every two years and all the family have said they would return to the outrigger. Would i recommend this hotel, if you want absolute luxury and staff standing over your every move, no. But if you want a relaxed, calm, friendly hotel, that offers great value, great staff, absolutely."
"A spectacular resort with very friendly staff great facilities and great food only one small adverse experience at the grill where a staff member was a very terse other than that everything was perfection. The golf courses are unbelievably good as anything you'll find anywhere!Ginja Resurant was amazing!"
"Whilst the hotel is in a beautiful local and excludes a calm, relaxed atmosphere, it is the extremely warm & welcoming team that leave an everlasting impression.
After a long journey & a very hectic month in the run- up to this trip, the hotel & the team provided the perfect start to the opening of my next chapter in life. Highly recommended"
