Pool and river was nice I didn't like that my room didn't get cleaned and i had to find someone on the second day to take it or trash and give us new towels. We also found a big bug/ beetle in the room and in the hallway. Had never happened before.

Overall an okay place to stay for one night, but the room lacks many utilities, including microwave, water boiler, coffee & coffee brewer, etc. In addition the place is infused with smoking smell, which I particularly dislike.

Love the Avi, been staying there for many years. I do think the prices of drinks and food at the pool are too expensive. Wish there was a ice cream and snow cone place on site. There is Thrifty ice cream in food court, however we stayed for a week and it was closed the whole time. Staff is always consistently courteous and helpful.

Pros: Kids loved the pool and slides! Kids loved the arcades and food court options! Con’s: Water in the shower was way too hot… so either near burning or no pressure. ( very odd for hotels) Beach was a bit trashed when we tried to go Friday before dinner4-5 or so; but was slightly better that evening once the crowds left. Either the staff saw the mess or the slobs left by just before about 8. No staffing at the arcade so it truly is play at your own risk and several games were taking credits but not working. No way to get your money back or credit to put towards other games. Overall the kids had a blast and that’s what makes the trip!

The Avi has a great area for kids at the pool. The cafe and coffee shop were reasonable. The smell of cigarettes is absolutely insane. The smell reaches all the way to the rooms. Open some doors or invest in a better air filtration.

Found a few bugs in our room and even killed a few and showed it to the from desk. The staff showed no care. Bathroom towels were dirty and tub was dirty. We had requested a non smoking room and it smelled like smoke.

There was a lot of stuff around the hotel a mile or two away but easy to get to. The hotel smelled like cigarettes all over & the fire alarm went off twice the first night there. The arcade had a lot of malfunction games. But they have an option for babysitting it’s $12 hr per kid 😂

Nice property overall. Service at Feathers Cafe was abysmal. We walked out after 15 minutes with no one speaking to us. Server took a drink order for someone who just sat down while we waited for 15 minutes. Disappointing.
