"There aren't enough words to describe how bad this experience, what we had of one, was. I booked a room weeks before our trip last week (May 5-7, 2026), based on reviews, pictures online and reasonable price. Reviews must have been written by the property, pictures were completely misleading relative to how the property was when we arrived (terrible condition). They send you a code to get into the room (no office or personnel on site). After trying it 10 times to no avail, I called the number they give you for help. Guy tried to help by giving me a new code. 10 more tries, couldn't open door. He gave me a code for the key lock box next to the door. That didn't work. Never even got into the room. Decided I'd had enough, given the condition of the property and inability to get into the room. Spent an hour on the phone with Hotel.com to try to get a refund (had to find a new hotel right away, obviously), who informed me they'd have to send a request to the property team for their refund approval. By the next morning, I got an email that the request had been turned down. So I'm out the money, for a room we couldn't enter. Great Escape is obviously more interested in making a few hundred dollars than taking care of a truly dissatisfied customer. Stay away from this property in Lauderdale or any managed by Great Escape by Lowki."

"The beach was unobstructed and the view breathtaking, however there was quite a bit of seaweed washing up on the shore which was an eyesore for an otherwise beautiful beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the Octopus was fantastic and Bianca, the server, was top notch! Would highly recommend this resort."

"Best little hotel ever the staff above and beyond because we needed check in earlier than usual. They had newly remodeled the entire place. The rooms were big and very nicely decorated. They had a laundry facility on site and it was very inexpensive and convenient. We did not use the pool. However our room was right across from it and it had cabanas different seating and it looked like a bar for entertainment purposes. This was a great little gem of a place."

"My family and I stayed at the Tides for the third year in a row in April. It is a small fairly quiet very well maintainedproperty. The pool is lovely and it is located on the beach. Parking is right in front of the property, it could not be easier.All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It is situated less than a mile from Fort Lauderdale by the sea so an easy walk to restaurants, shops bars, etc.. It is where we stay in Fort Lauderdale before venturing down to the keys. We plan to go next year as well."
