With the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, travelling now comes with greater challenges. Take note of these useful tips before jumping on your plane to Land of Semois:

• Before locking in your flight, check if any travel restrictions apply — in both your origin and destination. Stay informed with the latest updates by reviewing government and airport websites.
• When you pass through airport screening, keep your face mask on. You will be required to lower it briefly for ID purposes. Travellers who refuse to wear a face mask may be fined and denied entry.
• Rather than handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, place it straight on the scanner yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on luggage. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag for scanning.
• Empty your personal items from your pocket, like your wallet and phone, and put them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will minimize handling during the screening process.
• If you're taking food on the plane with you, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to touch your food container or carry-on bag for closer inspection.
