We are sorry to hear of your concerns while staying with us. As owners of Maxwell, we would love to speak with you directly regarding your concerns. We take great pride in maintaining our facility and grounds. The Mansion was built in 1856 and has maintained the charm of a historic building and is well kept and clean. Our grounds are 1.5 acres located only 2 blocks from Geneva Lake. We have trash cans in whiskey barrels throughout the property to discourage littering. While we do not have a restaurant on the property, we plan to add light food service later this year. Some weekends, we have private events that may alter hours like our bars, but as new owners we are beginning to move away from this practice for new event bookings. If this does occur, notify all guests if we can by email to inform them of modified hours or services. We hope you will reach out to us with your concerns and stay with us again soon.
