This area of the state has box elder bugs, which are like lady bugs, this LeRoy is an idiot, and could have used a shower himself.

John and His Staff and The Facilities are TOP NOTCH It is the ONLY place I will stay in Lake Geneva. we operate Cigar Oasis at Alpine Valley Music Theatre and Country Thunder Festivals for the last 20 years, and Without John and The Chateau Royale staff and facilities making us feel like we are at home...we would be sailors lost at Sea !

The hotel is old and just shows its useage. No pool as advertised (feel not really being renovated). Front doors locked early with no further advisement.,. Had to find entrance on our own. On the plus… staff friendly and considerate. Helped with a personal situation. Room clean… hotel quiet.

Our room and bed were clean and comfortable. The overall condition of the facility is good considering it is an older structure.

Property in state of disrepair. inside and out. No hallway or lobby AC; pool broken; parking lot cracked and unmarked; no bathroom in the lobby; tube TVs; no shower curtains. rugs and blankets dirty; no window treatments. no vending; no security. Not sure how this place is still in business!

Fun retro vibe.
Great retro vibe. Rooms were clean and decor fun. Staff was amazing! We travelled with friends and family, 3 rooms total for Winterfest. Each room had different decor , older sure, but clean and neat! Location excellent for walking downtown to festivities. Price was right! We will stay again.

The hotel was old-looking and definitely in need of a remodel. The rooms looked not very clean. The place is located a few minutes from downtown Lake Geneva, that is probably the only good thing. Also, there is only one lock on the door. The rooms smelled inside, and it was not a nice smell. I definitely would not stay there again.

tHIS PROPERTY IS A DECLINING PROPERTY WITH WHAT APPEARS TO BE FULL TIME LIVE IN TENANTS. WHEN I WALKED IN THE ODOR WAS OFFENSIVE AND REMAINED DURING THE ENTIRE STAY. ON CHECKING IN, LOOKING OVER THE COUNTER, THERE WAS DIRT ON THE FLOOR THAT HAD ACCUMULATED OVER MANY DAYS.

The rooms are nice. Very spacious with nice pillows and comfy beds. Great shower and working fan, fridge, microwave, heating unit & TV. The location is great, and for an affordable place to crash, I would recommend it. There isn’t anyone at the desk all the time, and there isn’t any drinkable coffee in the building (the watery pot out front is hot but so weak it can’t count) and it’s unusual they don’t have the coffee pots in the rooms, but it’s not a big issue. Staff was friendly and locked up after 11:00. The lobby is super outdated, but the rooms are not. The addition of blinds would be greatly appreciated for anyone who wants to sleep in the Ams - very good value for the money overall!

No amenities here. You have a place to sleep that's cheap and that's about it. We had no room service the three nights we were there. The room was clean enough, but the beds were old, and had a 'divot' in the middle.

Skip this place!
Dirty, clogged toilet, lack of decent linens and pillows, poor security for private doors, too many permanent guests, late night disturbances by other guests, poor internet connection, need I say more!?

Our lobby closes at midnight, which is posted on your site. This moron makes a last minute reservation, wants to show up in the middle of the night, without any guarantee. This guest should have had some common courtesy and check in before wedding.

Had a family event booked , reservation stated no check in until 3pm so had to arrive after event which was 1220 Hotel was locked no buzzer, nobody answered phone-police came by and got inside knocked on manager door no answer! Ended up finding another hotel, called and owner said he goes to bed at 11 no check in allowed. No notice of this policy on hotel website or reservation ! Owner was a jerk next day and folks coming in and out of hotel from 1220 to 130 pretty sketchy DONT STAY HERE —owner not available after 11 for any reason per his statement—if your room has bed bugs, toilet running over heat not working no hot water—it’s your problem not his

This was by far the cheapest option in the area, and you get what you pay for. The staff was friendly and the room seemed clean but there is not wifi in the rooms and not really cable either. The pool is also closed, but that may just be for Covid.

The guy at the front desk was nice but that was it. We got to our room, it smelt so bad of smoke and mold. The room was attempted to be updated but it was like it was mid construction still. The flooring wasn't complete and had a big gap between the 2 sections of floor that was super dirty. Stains on the hardwood floor that looked like body secreations, mold all over the bathroom, 1 towel that you couldn't even wrap a new born in, ripped furniture, stained sheets. We weren't there for 20 minutes before we both looked at eachother and both said we would drive home instead of stay there. Parking was horrible, the permanent residents had all the plowed spots (like 4 of them) taken and there was a dozen cars parked at all goofy angles that havnt moved in weeks (full of snow amd plowed around) It is more of an outdated apartment then a hotel.
