"We loved the location of the hotel. The pool was great. staff friendly. even a gift shop on site. popcorn at night was fun! Beds were so very comfortable. very clean The TV in our room, the volume didn't work. Breakfast was a little crowded but it was a busy time of year."

"keypad entry which is great not having to carry keys around for the Jackpine queen #1. That one is closest to the lodge and shares a wall with it. We were fine with it but sounds does travel from the lodge or adjoining room. It was a low tv or talking sound, nothing disturbing and not sure if they could hear us. It is a motel type unit so sound proofing is not expected. FYI Unit 1 is close to lodge and Unit 4 is the one that only has one shared wall. Price was reasonable and priced appropriately. Owner- we met briefly was super nice and then saw him turning over rooms himself. Don't always see that and it a good thing. Property is clean and cared for, The lodge is cute and quaint, like you'd expect for a nice lake resort up here in Northern MN or WI. Plenty of room to hangout or if you need games or another bathroom to use. Small shop are for little things you might need or want. We were there for the rooms and location, but I would totally come back in other months maybe with the boat or to paddle BWCA. I'll have to see if they are open in winter. Would be a great spot to stay and go ice fishing or skiing Highly recommended, thanks for having us for a fun little hiking weekend!"

"Stuff was nice. Room was clean. Really enjoyed jacuzzi after a long hike. Great location. I really wish I didn't have to listen to the constant stomping and TV noise from upstairs. Overall we had a great stay"

"This is my spot for a fall getaway during MEA. Good old fashioned north woods resort. Not fancy but very clean, very comfortable, new appliances (full refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot, microwave) spectacular view, quiet and dependable service. Many people had kids and pets; great for family, safe area for a solo trip."

"Very unique glamping tents that provided privacy but yet had that comforting b and b feel. Perfect location for a North Shore trip. Facilities were clean and had everything you could need. Staff was incredibly welcoming."

"The staff were all friendly and helpful,problems with our reservations were corrected by the manager in the morning.The water sports equipment were closed for the season, but the bicycles ,ere in perfect shape and the 4 mile loop was a great suggestion by the staff.hot tub was clean and nice and warm, pool was clean.Lake view from room was very nice., clean, and roomy.Beds very comfortabl."

"This was our first stay here and it was very good! The breakfast was decent and well maintained. The staff was helpful and the room was clean. I'm still a bit shocked by the price of rooms per night and add on fees, but I realize this seems to be normal now up and down the North Shore. But it's apparent this property is trying to draw in more kids and families here offering family fun things to do and that is appreciated. We stayed here because it was close to our hiking plans. We would stay here again! But look at deals - if available!"
