"This lovely, well equipped cottage had everything one needed when staying in Broken Hill. It was about two kilometres from the railway station - an eady 30 minute walk, but close to bus stops that ran between 8.00am and 5.00pm. Supermarkets were a five mknute walk away. The cottage had two bedrooms, kitchen, family room, large bathroom and laundry. It was spotlessly clean and relatively quiet.There was a carport if you have a car."

"The hotel has lost some of its charm after renovations although some may be impressed by the new bar. The stay was spoiled by the loud people in the next room with offensive language. The menu retains its interesting feral options but the remainder would be better if it concentrated on basic Australian staples. Breakfast was very limited in choices. "

Local of 30 years corrected our misguided perception of Coober Pedy after reading statistics from Red Suburbs site about the “violent crime” in the town. Statistics are totally misleading and relate to an isolated incident that happened in late 2023 from visiting Alice Springs mob who made their way to Coober Pedy for a funeral. "Very well set up in close proximity to Flinders Ranges on historical working station with self-contained cabins, information/reception, caravan park, woolshed restaurant, shop, excursions - 4WD, helicopter, aeroplane and trekking and walks. Staff at reception, restaurant and on 4WD excursions were wonderful."
