"I paid for a king suite with a kitchenette and a balcony. Upon arrival there was a bag of garbage and used/dirty rags left on the balcony. The room was absolutely filthy, no kitchen not even a coffee pot ! Asked for a new room with the amenities I paid for, no ! They do not have kitchenettes nor coffee pots, nor do they have the free breakfast they advertise. However, you can get the coffee at the front desk (was told they are open 24/7) untrue. When they close they do leave an emergency # to call on the front door, coffee is not an emergency, this was after 8:00 a.m. There was unknown stuff running down the walls, on the curtain going out to the balcony, etc. There was no door handle on the patio doors so no lock ! I was provided some grey (originally white) towels and one washcloth of which I used to clean the filth off the refrigerator (it was now black) There was black mold in the shower and no hot water. There are open wires in the bathroom right next to the shower. Key cards do not work, you need to go get them reset often and the staff laughs at that ! So for safety and health reasons I had to book a room elsewhere and requested a refund, was told my booking states no refunds ! I said it did not state the unsafe conditions, the details of black mold, no kitchen, etc. They told me I have to understand it is an Island, WOW. I have stayed on the Island 3/4 other years and never had any issues ! DO NOT STAY HERE ! My next place was the best "Surfside 11""

"First room was terrible … safe did not work and even after fixing … did not work. Put on 3rd floor right under buffet … furniture moving till 9:00 pm and again starting at 6:00 am! Changed rooms and everything was fine. I did have to downgrade room and did not receive any compensation?? This was our 8th stay at this hotel, but will rethink it before booking again!"

"I guess they had cleaned the floor and left a fan to dry it, it was so slick I nearly fell, I am 78 and a little unstable so it was a big concern. Also it was so dark, not nearly enough lighting. Water pressure wasn't very good either"
