"The staff are unbelievable and attentive. By far the most welcoming staff we encountered in two weeks of travelling through Western Norway. Breakfast has personal options and a great spread. We also had dinner at the restaurant and it was fabulous! Great value at the restaurant and hotel for the services provided. The property is older and basic but exquisitely clean and the hospitality and food made it our favourite hotel of the entire trip! We stayed two nights and wanted to stay longer! You can walk to everything in town and a grocery store is right across the street. Can’t say enough good things about our stay here!"

"Lovely boutique hotel in a good location close to the Flåm-Aurland shuttle stop. We were a little disappointed with our room which overlooked a neighboring property’s outdoor terrace. The breakfast was enjoyable but make sure you get there well prior to the scheduled end time as things ran out the day we were there."

"Laerdal hotel is gem between Oslo and Bergen. The fjord views from my balcony were absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed having a spacious room with a roomy bathroom. The location is very peaceful and everything we needed for our over night stay was in walking distance. The staff was were friendly and spoke English fluently. Parking was surprisingly free, which is non existent for many hotels. Breakfast was buffet style. Timing is important if you want to avoid chaotic feel due to large tourist groups."

"This is an absolutely stunning B&B down to every detail. The owners and staff were helpful and it’s a perfect location if you want to take the ferry to the Urnes Stave Church(the oldest of the remaining Stave churches) which is beautiful and well worth the trip. Breakfast was great too. The downsides are: 1) sharing bathrooms; 2) tiny rooms; and 3) no close restaurants for dinner so eat first in the neighboring town."
