It was an unexpected loss and we were having his funeral services and burial Friday and Saturday. Of course we tried and tried but nothing. Expedia was willing to help us out but the owner was not having it at all. They said there was nothing they could do at all. "The hotel itself was nice, comfortable, and well-kept; however they were understaffed or maybe that just their usual. Towels and bedding (eg..blanket for the sofa I had to sleep on because I received a room with only a sofa, not a sleeper). After finally getting a blanket the second day, I slept comfortable on it. The towel situation never got any better. There was always a shortage of towels from the first day. Our toilet stopped up twice. The second time, there was no one on duty to come to unstop it, but I was told I could come down and get the plunger to do it myself. I had the know-how, so it was quick and no problem. Overall, the hotel was nice with the exception of a very slow elevator, and towel shortage."

"What a gem this place is! The Resort at Schlitterbahn was fantastic… quaint and cute. The room was very clean and smelled wonderful. It was perfect for our family. Something that I would have loved was smaller pillows. The pillows on the bed were very big. I woke up with a sore neck both days. But that’s a matter of personal preference. The air conditioner was also very loud but again I’ll take a loud air conditioner over no air conditioner any day. The staff in the front office were all very polite unhelpful. They made our stay wonderful. I would rate this place 10 stars."

"Solo traveler-Hotel staff friendly and professional, answer any and all my inquiries with a smile. Received a room with a view to the Riverwalk which was nice. The hotel area is a prime location to walk to multiple restaurants and entertainment on street level and Riverwalk. Tried the breakfast buffet, its was just ok (6/10) for $22.50 per. Only downside is the parking fee of $41 per day for (self-parking) & $49 for valet. Overall, had a great experience."

"Spacious room. It is one long room. Walk into the seating area, bathroom in the middle, then to the bedroom. Minifridge no microwave. Keurig was great. The pool was great, clean. The pool pictures make it appear newer, to me, but overall it was a great rooftop space, nice view of the city. Staff was great! Chris delivered a bottle of complimentary Bday champagne and was fabulous. Housekeeping kept the room neat and tidy. The hotel looks like the pictures. Nice and clean. Valet was always ready. There’s a bar directly across the street. The hotel’s location was located in a great spot right on the river, 10 min walk to the Alamo, and all the touristy things downtown. 10 min walk to the Towers of the Americas. 10 min drive from the airport. I would absolutely stay again."

"My family traveled to San Antonio to bury our oldest brother. I was unable to make it because someone had to care for our 98yrs old mom. I wanted to add someone to one of our 4 rooms and was given a very hard time. I spoke to someone who had no compassion and suggested that my family stay somewhere else. If one of the rooms wasn't connected to a flight and we had more than 5 days til travel I would have canceled all 4 rooms and in fact stayed somewhere else. The general manager never called me back. I called the hotel 4 days in a row to try to get some help. When i gave up someone called me and conferenced the GM in. They told me to go back to expedia that they could help me. I called Expedia to find out i would have to pay extra to just add a name to the double room that i had booked. I would not send my enemy to this place. The property is in need of an upgrade. The furniture is very old, fraying and stained in some places."
