A lovely two day stay. This hotel is very expensive but in a beautiful setting with comfortable rooms and patio areas ( most with own plunge pool). The staff are very friendly and anxious to make sure everything is good for you. The only thing letting it down was a bit of disorganisation at breakfast. You have to pre order with the idea it is all smooth and easy in the morning. Unfortunately on both breakfasts there were errors and delays. We were not too bothered by this but for a hotel...

We had a great week here at the end of the wet season. There are several well-signposted routes starting about 10 minutes walk from the hotel along the Caravelle peninsula. Hotel itself is fairly simple, but with basic self-catering amenities. We brought all our food with us, and didn't need a car. Very good swimming pool - deep throughout, so there were not people hanging about in it. Unlimited free tea and coffee at reception. Front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. We spoke French...

The staff at the hotel were all so friendly and helpful.
The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Really enjoyed the hotel and facilities.
The pool and swim up bar are a strong plus point. The hotel serves a substantial breakfast and has a good a la carte in the evening. The town around has good restaurants and car hire places to explore the Island. The main attraction of this location is the proximity to the harbour, loads of fantastic boat tours.

A lovely auberge, beautifully appointed, clean and well maintained. Very friendly, helpful staff & delicious dinner & breakfast. Definitely to be recommended if you are visiting Grande Rivière.
Unfortunately, when we were there the whole town was without water but the staff worked hard to provide guests with large flagons of bottled water and buckets of water for washing/flushing loos etc. Would definitely stay there again - with or without water!
